  • Hi there this is my fiorst time posting on this thread:o

I am trying at the moment to be as OS as possible.

Today I have put 2 loads of washing on the line, changed the beds and cleaned the bathrooms. We are having a roast for dinner as I got a tesco value chicken reduced. We are out all day tomorrow so I am going to put the leftovers in the slow cooker for a curry tomorrow night.

The weather is beautiful here so I have had a tidy in the garden in the hopeful preperation that the nice weather stays and we can do some planting this weekend.

Had the boys swimming lessons to pay today but felt very chuffed as MIL had bought them all for the boys xmas pressies and they are getting so much more out of them than a toy that would be stuck in the bottom of the toybox.

I am just about to make some cookies as the boys love warm cookies when they get in so take care everyone.

    Hi Beckiferanne and sillyinthepast:hello:

You will love it on here, everyone makes you feel so welcome and really seem to care for one another.

The only problem with it is that it is very addictive! I should be doing things now but just had to pop back on to catch up!!!

    love and hugs to all

Hi Beckiferanne and Sillyinthepast. People here make you so welcome. And they know so much - it is phenomenal. I am more of a wannabe OS and today it has all gone out of the window, and I am popping on here for five minutes sanity saver because little bear has been throwing tantrums. Normally he does not throw so much as a cross look, so it is a shock to the system.

At least the washer is going, but the ironing mountain is going to feature in Comic Relief if I don't do something about it soon!

    Hugs to all.

    I am officially cream crackered!!!!!!!

As I had finished the sewing I had to do I decided to take down my machine and start packing away my sewing stuff...........could not find the top to my machine.......ha ha!! I had put it in the attic when we got the new wardrobes:eek:  :D So had to get the step ladder out and get it down....the thought of having to empty the attic fills me with dread but its got to be done and it will be one of the frist things I do once we get the keys. Most of my fabric is either in plastic boxes or bags of some description, it will be a case of emptying the shelves and putting the stuff in the car. I have ordered a trolly from Argos you can either use as a sackbarrow or a flat bed trolly and it has a set of wheels on that make it easy to get up steps.......I will collect it on the way back form Nottingham tomorrow afternoon......where we are going to put it remains a mystery, but I will find somewhere:D :D

I had a root through the freezer found liver and bacon and a couple of squares of Lorne sausage, so thats for supper with carrots, mash and brussels. Ice cream and something for dessert.

Two weeks today I will be starting to shift stuff...........the chaps are going in this week to do the ceiling in the bathroom and deep clean the place, mind you their idea of cleaning and mine are bound to be different, its very rarely you find a chap who cleans the same as a lady.....if you know what I mean....no offence chaps.........but male brains do not work like female brains.........especially with cleaning and laundry.................

Think I had better shut up whilst I am ahead on that subject!!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

happy st Patricks day to all. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. To my eternal shame I haven't sent a single card this year. I normally send one to each of the Aunts & Uncles.:o :o . Aw well just another thing to feel bad about.

Hi Annie, sorry to hear you are so below par. Is there anything I can do?
Regards the St P day cards, I wouldn't worry too much - it was never an Irish tradition to send them anyway, and I don't think I've ever sent one in my entire life as it's just not expected. The pubs only started opening on this date in the late 70s - it used to be a quiet family day with town centre parades in the afternoon, mass/church, a nice meal at home and visit relatives or friends. Those elements are mostly still there but the emphasis seems to be on having a drink too many...ah well, that's the way of the world I suppose.

Old style today hasn't happened yet. I am a disgrace, what do I do with my time:o:o I am about to leap into action and do a spot of laundry and some bulbs for outside. Promise, any minute now I'll get moving...I'm like a coiled spring:rotfl:

Mean Marie, what a shock for you to find out about your young friend. It's horrible that this can happen to someone with so much life ahead. A 15 year old boy here in Newry died very suddenly at the weekend from some sort of heart condition which nobody knew he had. He collapsed when playing football. I really feel for Jade Goody - I know she has her critics but what a dreadful thing to happen to her. None of us know what is ahead and every day really is a blessing even if we don't realise it at the time.

Sorry to be so morose! I'm away to get on with my lovely laundry.

    Bye.

I live in near Blackpool. It's an employee perk I think they can buy stock where it is not fit for sale (ie there's a dint in the bottle). She is definately my most useful friend ;)

Oooh......that sounds interesting....Floss mutters from the offices beside Mr T's at the back of the M55......

    Hi everyone,

welcome Beckiferanne and Sillyinthepast - here is a lovely place to be and as nic1lou2 has said it is very addictive :D

Meanmarie - nice to see you back and posting again but sorry to hear of your sad news.

Well i`ve just woken from a nap on the sofa, i was worn out by the time i got back from the dentist so i just crumpled in a heap for well over an hour. It was fantastic being able to sleep but it seems that i`m not out of the woods yet with this tooth. The dentist says that he thinks that because the filling is deep it is pressing down on the nerve  i`ve been told to give it a couple of weeks and keep taking painkillers and it may settle down. If not i can have the tooth taken out or have a root filling  he has coated the tooth with a kind of gunk which is an attractive yellow colour  this has actually made it less sensitive but i can still feel the dulled down pain IYKWIM, i have just had the first cuppa for a couple of days which hasn`t sent me through the roof so i`m going to have another one :D i`m really hoping that it settles down, last time a root filling was mentioned i had the tooth out instead but if i keep this up there won`t be any left :o slight exaggeration there lol as i only have the one gap but i hate going to the dentist and i`m more or less at the limit for my health insurance already. I`ve always had really good teeth and the dentist did say that it`s a remarkable thing at my age

Has anyone had a root filling before and was it sucessful? Hmm i`ll pop back later to have a looksee, i need to fetch the washing in as it`s almost dark outside.

    Catch up later everyone.

    Welcome Beckiferanne and Sillyinthepast :D

Not much OS done here I've been at work - dinner is pork steak, new pots and peas. Hopefully I'm also making some cupcakes for DD2's lunches - two batches of Paddington Bear's Marmalade Buns have been eaten since Sunday

I hope everyone is well and hugs for all
