god i hate the tv for advertising kids toys at this time of year. every other second i hear "i really want that" and i think ... you sooo not getting it!

Glad to see you are still so upbeat, makes things so much more bearable!

Agree re adverts for kids toys! Have decided what we are getting Master this year and everyone chipping in so we can try and keep it cheap. He has so much he doesn't "need" anything else but "wants" everything in the Argos catalogue!

My kids requests are generally quite reasonable - I do encourage my DD to watch cbeebies to try and reduce the adverts!

Hi all I've been away under sad circumstances and I've had a big wake up call lifes too bloody short so I'm not beating myself up about debt I'm getting through it and that's that. Hope everyones ok x x

evening peeps... sorry not been about. been bit mad.. still is on going.

all other lurkers, regulars etc... well i cant believe it is nearly 1/2 term already! where has the time gone. today we had a little bit of early frost. all in all we are ok! just hanging on in there - watching each day and seeing how we are progressing. working the hardest we have ever worked and the days just fly by. went to town on saturday - amazing as the shops were full, carparks full and people everywhere... is the credit crunch over? did i miss something? who are all these people with money? lucky them! i just squeal by with the bare minimal amount of spending possible!

Evening, Tuesday night we ha a phonecall from Spain where oh mum lives she had been rushed to hospital with a problem and then we were told less than 24 hours to live so we ha to get out there asap she passed 4 hours after we arrived so it's been not so great x

MrsC - glad that you are squeaking thro still. It is hard work isn't it but presumably things will ease up when the Cyprus sale eventually comes thro

Hi, I know what you mean about everyone spending! I have a feeling there will be a few financial hangovers in January though.
Good to see you are hanging in on in there and getting on with stuff. I'm having a bad month as the car has needed loads of repairs, it was kind of touch and go as to if we just junked it and got another shed. Decided to get it fixed, new front suspension, two new tyres and new front brakes, ouch, ouch, ouch. Still at least we know what is ok on it now and won't need doing. Life would be so good if there were no bills. LOL! All the best .
