Don't know if you've seen it on my diary - but I start a job a week on Monday - not the best money in the world or the best location but money.
Just a quick hijack to say WELL DONE to saving holmes. I know that things have been SO tough for you. And you have been looking so hard for something. So it is great that you have something. And I hope it means that you can breath a little easier now?

And another thing, gad you will think i am a stalker next rather than someone who was only away for a week and had about 10 pages to wade through!
About the DMP have you done the debt remedy on CCCS yet? If you have do you thinkyou are brave enough to put the statement of affairs on here as well?
I know the gap will be huge between income and expenditure, but it never hurts to have someone else go over the figures....
As someone else said I would go with the DMP even if it does say 25 years currently.
There are several reasons for this.
1) It is pretty straight forward to do this. CCCS do loads every week. Creditors respect CCCS, Payplan or National Debtline, and generally accept DMP proposals from them. Going down this route also focusses you on what is important, ie all non secured debt is not important LOL. So money goes to mortgage, other secured loans, then money for utilities (oh and you haven't switched your heating on yet have you - that is what jumpers are for) and council tax, then food. What ever is left goes pro rata towards the debts.
2) With an IVA you get more debt written off initially BUT you have to make that payment come hell or high water. No excuses. Can you guarantee to do that for 5 years? Also they would want you to release equity from the the house in about year 3, which might mean you have to sell it to do this.
3) The house sale from Cyprus WILLL go through sometime. When that happens, that will know about 10 years off your DMP anyway, so that takes it down to 15 years LOL. Then once the children are in secondary school, you can get down to doing more hours - which will decrease the debt free date again. So it never takes as long as the initial length of time is.
4) I would suggest that you leave out the school fees and also leave out the ebay and avon money etc. In that way it will focus you that you HAVE to get those listings up those books out because it is paying for the kids to stay in their school....
There was something else that I was going to say but can't remember what it was so that must mean i need more coffee!

Coo....... just hopping back onto your thread for a looksee, and it sounds like you're doing great! Well done you. I do know what you mean about tiny print tho - one of my best mse ways of making money at the moment is free bingo, and I *cannot* read the print of how many balls there are to go - its cream on light grey, absolutely mad, and it can't be enlarged :rotfl: the things we do for money, hey?
OTOH, I might finally be about to start selling little bits and bobs on ebay - the 99p stuff...... I'm just waiting for my ebay account to be linked to my paypal account, and I'm also working on getting ready to take photos......... oh joy. Off for a walk round the block to get the blood flowing before its dark.
Onwards and upwards..........2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

:oI think I tried to join that challenge originally when it was ebay/ebid - it was me that suggested ebid, because ebay were still charging for all items sold, and I was convinced my tut wouldn't sell. Well, it certainly didn't sell on ebid....... mind you, SF magazines don't seem to sell anywhere. I've decided to do creative things with my Christmas cards this year, and give up on selling them.
I've never been one for **things**, apart from a few years collecting SF stuff, so I don't really have that much to sell. But I'll try! I've ironed a sheet to use as a plain background for the photos....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Cor, I can feel the speed heat friction from here!!! Good for you going for it. Do a 'flylady crisis clean' can't recommend her enough, before OH gets home. Then you'll have a little together time hopefully. Keep on keeping on, your making a difference all right.
