  • Hopefully won't be spending any money today. I'm just up, then i am working 4-8. My last shift then i'm off for 2 weeks! awesome!
  • so things just seem to have got worse. I am not getting any more than 9 hours a week in work, cause of a lot of crap thats being going on in there lately! I'm so close to handing in my notice, but that means i'd have no money at all!

I've been appying for jobs online, but haven't heard back from any yet. I can't go into town and ask for application forms cause i dont have the bus fare to get in :(

So i am getting £216 a month wages, and £150 of that goes to my mum :(
  • Things have gone from bad to work. I was so close to walking out of my job tonight. I am being moved to checkouts, all because my stupid ***** of a manager hates me and is jealous of me!

I've been in tears all night because of this, i don't want to go. And they have done it in a horrible, sneaky way. EVERYONE knew about it, and i heard people talking about me moving, and asked the duty mangager about it. And he said i was...and had no choice!

On the way home, i walked past a chippy looking for staff, so i popped in and gave them my name and number. I am sick to death of Morrisons and they're crap.
  • pay day today...a whole £216, and its already all gone..nearly
    £150 to my mum
    £9 to Dorothy Perkins Card
    £10 to Arcadia Staff Card
    £5 to New Look Card
    £17 to Carphone Warehouse

Leaving me with a grand total of £25 to last me till the 14th of August...fun!

    Hi,

I've just had a read of your diary, and just wanted to ask what the £150 payment to your mum is? Is there anyway she could lower it at all for a while so that you have more money left for the month?

I'm 20, just finished my first year of uni and trying to pay off my overdraft. So I know how it feels and I wish you luck! Hopefully there'll be a time soon for you when the excitement comes from paying money off a debt rather than adding to it! :p

It's for rent, bills, food etc, just basically for me living here. I can't ask her to lower it anymore, it's already been put down from £200. And she can't afford for me to live here with any less then £150 a month from me.
It's not bad, when i had my own flat i paid £200 a month just for rent, never mind food or bills on top of that
  • So this is how everything is looking just now:
    Additions Account: £180.84 (limit £475)
    Kays Account: £141.27 (limit £800)
Dorothy Perkins Card: £212.39 (limit £250)
Arcadia Staff Card: £200.30 (limit £250)
New Look Card: £106.83 (limit £125)

There is also my old BOS student overdraft about £950ish (not sure on this one)
And my current student overdraft £1400
But i'm not too bothered about these two at the moment.

I have sent letters to all my creditors (except rbs, as i'm still using that as my main bank account and have 2 years of being a student left) telling them i am having financial difficulties and will be in touch again soon, telling them how much i can afford to pay every month.

I had lots of plans for today, washing, ironing etc
But got woken up from a call from my bestie (also my supervisor) asking if i wanted a shift today, a girl phoned in sick.

So ended up working 12-4, not bad cause i get time and a half on a sunday.

Getting my checkout training tomorrow 11:30-4:30 then working in the cafe 5-9

Great, working all day with only a half hour break cause of the 2 short shifts

Went to Tesco with my mum after work, for a change as she usually shops in Morrisons.

Anyway bought myself some stuff for starting uni, came to about £10...not so bad! Still have a few more bits and pieces to pick up though, and i need a new bag, one i can fit my lappy into...but i can get that when i get my student loan back!

Also managed to sneak myself some essencials into my mums trolly..deoderant, ribena, rolls and biscuits (for lunches in work) which she paid for...score!

:hello:Hello!! Only me come across from the other thread.

How annoying that you have to work with only a half hour break tomorrow, but on the plus side think of the extra money!!

I know it's shocking, i just hope i can get through the checkout training quickly, and maybe get away from that 15mins earlier, meaning i'll have a whole 45mins break before i start my shift in the cafe.
