My magical debt diary!

Well the past couple of days have been pretty good, i've just been working like crazy!
Didn't go into college today, as i slept in and have a really sore head! Plus i'm only in for 3 hours on a monday anyways.
Have listed even more stuff on Ebay, and sold alot of stuff as well. Money in on its way into my bank. Hopefully it comes in before the gig on Wednesday night!
Took a skirt and dress back to Primark yesterday, so another £20 odds to go back into my bank. I just wasn't sure about them, usually i would just keep them in my wardrobe thinking i'll wear them at some point! But i actually took them back, quite chuffed with myself really!
Got statements through from New Look, Dorothy Perkins, and my Staff Cards.
eeek. Min payments due by the 3/4th. Thank God i get paid on Friday, as i have a grand total of £37 in my bank at the moment!0 -
So i worked out that should get paid £462 on Friday and from that i am going to pay:
£150 - mum
£40 - last months phone bill
£20 - Dorothy Perkins Card
£20 - Staff Card
£20 - New Look Card
£20 - Additions Account
£20 - Kays Account
Leaving me with £172
THEN
When i get my Student loan on the 7th, £340
I will pay
£25 - this months phone bill
£20 New Look Card
£20 Dorothy Perkins Card
£20 Staff Card
£20 Additions Account
£20 Kays Account
leaving me with £215 + £172 = £387.
Still seems like i have alot left over.
When i get my £100 deposit back for Palma, i'm splitting it £50 to Staff Card and £50 to Dorothy Perkins card
meaning that by the end of the month my accounts should look like this:
Staff Card: £124.48
New Look Card: £45
Dorothy Perkins Card: £134.43
Additions Account: £180.56
Kays Account: £110.00
As well as all my Ebay sales money will be going to the New Look card, so it will hopefully be cleared this month!0 -
So things didn't go to plan...again0

Hello sweetie. I found your diary from your "How do I get through next week with only £5?" thread.
Now is the time to get this diary up to date with what you're thinking and feeling and how you got yourself in a tangle.
I really feel for you because I'm about your age and found myself in lots of debt due to University. My lowest ebb was when I'd promised to take my OH out for a nice meal, went to the cashpoint to get the money to pay for it and the cupboard was bare. I had to go back to the car and tell him that we couldn't go for the meal because I was skinted. There was nothing left on my overdraft whatsoever.
I remember how down I was and how much I felt like a disappointment and promised myself it wouldn't happen again.
Good luck!0 -
Come on littlepinkstars!!! You can do it, how are you doing at the moment?
Post an update and we can encourage you along the right path :-) Don't give up!
xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
ok, so after a short spell of not posting i'm back!
Right now i have about £5 to my name, eeek! I ended up not going to college today, i wasn't in to mood to sit for 3 hours in a class i have already finished and handed all the coursework in for it. Plus the weather was so nice.
I sat out in the garden all day, and am now pretty red! On the plus side, i didn't spend any money today! woo
My bestie wants to go out on thursday, which shes paying for, yay! So hopefully wee bottle or two of lambrini in the park, if its still sunny by Thursday then cinema, and maybe cathouse afterwords.
Dreading college tomorrow though, have a Spanish writing exam, then gotta fix my ITD exam i failed last weekAnd this is a class im resitting from last year as well! oops lol!
I get my last student loan in on Friday, £346! Which after paying bills and debts i'll prob have about £130 left, and i'm going out on Sat night as well!0 -
It might be worth budgeting for your nights out... don't take £130 or a debit card where you can access that £130. Take a twenty pound note and you're forced to keep to your budget.
While spending money might seem like fun, the highs only last so long before you're back with only £5 again
Good luck and keep this updated, though I rather feel from your postings that you're yet to have your proper LBM.0 -
Today went well passed 3 Spanish exams and the dreaded ITD exam (class im resitting from last year), although with alot of [STRIKE]cheating[/STRIKE]help from my lecturer.
I found a tenner on the way to the bus stop this morning, awesome or what!!!!?
Though theres now only £7 odds left in my purse, lol!
It's enough to get to college tomorrow, and into town on thursday to hang out with my friend.
I made lunch to take with me, and filled up an empty bottle with some diluting juice, so that was a plus i guess.
I went into New Look and put a dress on my storecard, i was so hot i thought i was going to faint! It was only £10, which i can pay back to it on Friday, so i don't feel too bad about that.0 -
Hi there pinkstars.
Working in Morrisons, do you get any kind of staff discount? I was thinking you could get a cheap loaf of bread, spread and a cheap piece of cheese and you have sandwiches for a week.
Please don't fritter away any money when you are with your friend - you'll be back to the position you were in before you found the £10.
What's cathouse? If it's somewhere you'll spend money, don't go, you are in a tight position and I know it's hard. At 22, I was in a similar position having just taken on a mortgage with my partner and we were so broke it hurt."Stay Wonky":D
