my friends coming to visit me for only about an hour but i want to make a good impression

i will have my bathroom, kitchen and living room.

but i dont want it to look lik ive tried too much

i have a few wee things to tidy up: washing and clutter in the living room!

my question is should i have it immaculate?

Went to the garage - washed my car! Very shiny and beautiful now, picked up all the rubbish inside and wiped down dashboard etc. But I refused to give them £2 for a token to hoover my car! So will hoover it at home!

But I can nearly cross it off my list!

well, i was quite productive!
oh came back with the right carpet tiles and put them all down straight away :T (incl. cutting some!)

i've cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed all upstairs, got all things out from under guest bed :T and rehomed it properly! took everything downstairs for washing; watered all plants
1x wm is on; emptied a cupboard in LR :j
gosh! i was all over the place :rolleyes::D

Make sure it's clean (dust doesn't count as dirt ), and that nothing embarrassing is lying around (like dirty laundry on the floor ), but otherwise concentrate on having a nice time with your friend. If anything is likely to bother you, then make sure it is dealt with so you can relax properly.
