As I did the whole house on Friday and Saturday, I don't really think the kitchen and livingroom need to be done to Level Three today - so I have decided to fly off list this week! I'll make sure I do at least an hour a day, but there are quite a few things that could be done, mainly sorting, decluttering and flinging!
On Sunday OH fixed the second bookshelf in the livingroom, so I can now sort out all the stuff in the bedroom and return it to its rightful place! I think a fair amount will be relocated to the Oxfam bookshop...
Coffee anyone? Then I'm off to the allotment!
Hugs to all in need of one today, and get well vibes to the poorly ones.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Some success on the building front (tho the flying will take forever) - builder came and kicked butt - he's agreed that they will take down the shonky ceiling and the skewiff edging round the windows at the plasterers expense and replace the ceiling properly (which TBH is more than I'm paying them for) - he's also carpetted them for leaving the house in a state last night - it took DH 4 hours to properly tidy it up - they must also have the downstairs loo area fully plastered before they go tonight so that the builder can install tomorrow - can't praise the builder enough but the the plasterers "little boys" are  - glad I paid a bit extra and hired the plasterer via the builder now for the extra jobs.
Have tried to study for the last 1.5 hours but pretty inaffective as pro plus haven't touched how tired I am - don't know how TAG and Mozzy have coped so long with chronic fatigue - let alone those with sick/poor sleeping kiddles - I'm such a sap! But I did get my TMA in on time, even if I did have to record it in the middle of the night.
Have now got to get ready for work early as have to go to B+Q and swap the flooring that DH got as its not suitable for bathrooms - oh well (sigh)I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
Had a lovely reflexology session and have arranged to go for a walk this afternoon with a friend when she finishes work. I have also ironed eight things out of my vast basketful.
Am now drinking herbal tea as the reflexologist told me to drink more... still haven't done my exercises thoughPlan is to spend the day flying and get the house under control again, ready for my mother's visitation which will of course undo the good work
Rose - hope you feel better soon. Make sure you reschedule with your friend. You're doing well, you just need to pace yourself.
TAG - (((hugs))). Hope you get the medication sorted
Dusty - completely agree. Wooden pegs every time... then they all match
Fedup - try mixing equal amounts of baking soda, soda crystals and borax and giving the pan a good scrub. As with ovens, the clean-up may be a gradual process. On the outside try cream of tartar mixed with enough lemon juice to make a paste. Wipe on then polish off. You can also clean with neat white vinegar. Hopefully one of these ideas will work!
Oven cleaning - have just come across this one, which may be worth a try - 225ml vinegar mixed with 30g washing powder (assume non-bio!). Heat oven for 5 mins to 350 degrees, spread paste on oven, paying attention to greasy areas, leave for an hour. Scrape off with plastic spatula. Wipe with a damp cloth. Final wipe should be with a cloth soaked in vingar. To prevent build-up of grease wipe after use with vinegar-soaked cloth!0 -
Morning all
One load of washing out in the sun.
Living room etc done Toots - that paintwork is going to kill me, my furniture is so heavy and most of the paintwork is behind it. But done.
Went over shops to pay paper bill and took the dog to save a separate walk. It's just slightly too far for her and the last bit home is r-e-a-l-l-y slow.0 -
All I've done this morning is online banking. Have spent ages trying to work out why the online bank is telling me I have less in there than my personal records are showing. Can't work it out. Have decided that it's their stupid system. I hate A&L online banking. Don't even know why we have an account with them. It's so annoying!!!!! Will keep an eye on it. It never really shows you what's in there or what's happening, hence th need to keep a personal record of transactions.
Rant over, am going for a lie down! Have decided to listen to my body, and have a nap now and then hopefully I will feel up to flying later on!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I've mot caught up on the thread, so I hope everyone is having a good week so far
I'm not doing too badly on my "things to do by Friday morning list" and will get even more done this afternoon. For now, we're going out for some fresh air and sunshine for half an hour or so
s&s bathroom
[STRIKE]
finish sorting out clothes
take suitcase down to garage.
clear armchair
get DH or Dad to help move armchair into bedroom
[/STRIKE]
move beanbag into bedroom
clear coffee table, and move into other corner of living room (where arm chair was!) - started
clear back table - started
move microwave and toaster to back table
tidy any other clutter from floor in living room
clear hallway and sweep floor
buy airtight boxes
tidy any clutter in spare room so there is space to put boxes of kitchen stuff when we have filled them up
defrost freezer
Still a way to go, but clearing those tables is the biggest job (it requires tackling a pile of papers which need action taken, not just filing/shredding, and so I'm having to sort them all out first!) and nearly finished them
I may even have time to tackle my main extra - the dreaded "project underwear" - aka matching up all the socks and whittling down how much we have so it all fits back in the drawers! Either all the socks need to go on the pull or I DH keeps buying new pairs when I'm not looking, as I only did this about 6 weeks ago and they are already taking over the bedroom again!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
