I did see that the sides are double the size of the normal £10 deal in an earlier post. If so it's £5 more expensive for double sides and double main meal. Hope so...

Even so, it's artistic license to say it'd be enough for four people, especially up where I am.

Perhaps it'd stretch to a decent feed for two if supplemented with a big bag of chippy chips.

And some bread. And tommy sauce.

    :D

EDIT: And at least half a can of spray cream on the profiteroles.

    ;)

I've just been, and the salmon and chicken fillets would do 4 small portions; the sides are 1 1/2 times bigger than usual, and the desserts (depending on which you get) would do 4.... but the profiterole stack is the same size as the meal for 2?! The choc cheesecake is a full size and worth it.

Anyway, at the end of the day i saved £9.00 with the deal, so not all bad... and i don't have to cook this weekend. Bonus. :D
If it's free and I can eat it, I'll have it!

    Is it large chickens?

What size is the beef joint?

I've just got back from M&S. Some of the chickens are extra large, managed to get a £12.99 one. Also the lamb looks lovely, it's deboned and is labelled up at £11.99. I got the roast potatoes, a good size, and the sticky toffee pudding. It's the usual size but then there's a good 4 portions in that anyway. And the mints were definitely out next to the wine.

It's all in the fridge waiting for my husband to do his best with on Sunday!

The beef joints range in cost depending on weight the ones I looked at cost £7-£9. There are some already prepped lamb and beef joints though in foil trays and those retailed at £11.99 and would do a family of four easily. The chickens as someone said are large and depending how lucky you are those could feed more than four.

The rest of the offer is what you would expect larger versions in most cases of what we have seen before.

Anyone buying this would probably need to add a bit more veg to it to make it a full meal for 4. But thats about it.

I've been in to our brand new M&S this morning and the food deal was all set out nicely in 3 fridges, for the mains, desserts & sides, with the wine dotted around in racks.

I bought the biggest chicken I could find £9.13,
    roast potatoes £2.99,
    apple pie £3.49 &
    red wine £5.99.
I was really pleased with my saving of £6.60 but looks like other people did better. I was really tempted to but more but I couldn't have carried them!

I'm going out Mothers Day so I've thrown caution to the wind and we're having the roast dinner tonight. My lot won't know what's hit them. lol

The chocs were definitely part of the deal, in the dessert cabinet. HTH

Just back from M & S, wasn't going to go for this one as it didnt seem as good for two people and I dont eat meat so the joints were out. However was pleasantly surprised and went for salmon £11, large roasting veg £4, choc cheesecake and wine came to £25. The veg is 900g usually 600g. Usual deserts, but the choc cheesecake was new and not just two slices but an actual cake size

The chickens were large and extra large, so the early bird catches the worm. helped a nice gentleman select the largest £12.48.

All in all very happy with a £10 saving, usually save £7.50 - £8 on the £10 deal
