I don't really understand what the fascination with the M&S meal deals are. I live in London and booking through Tobtable via special offers we usually eat out (4 people) for little over £20 anyway. Or get a takeout for £15.

If I wanted to eat in I'd just buy the ingredients and make my own meal for less than £5. Roast lamb/turkey etc. doesn't involve much preparation just add a few herbs, pop it in the oven and it comes out great.

People who have undertaken these offers before: How would you honestly rate the food compared to eating out?
eating out can cost more... its not just the meal its the drinks u buy with it, along with a tip, then travel to and from restaurant e.t.c

not everyone has time to be out dining all the time, hence why this offer is every once in a while. plus with this food u can only use parts of the portions and freeze for later use.

these meals ARE make your own.. well most of them... the meat quality is excellent!

just like u like to eat out alot, others like to eat in alot with a 'ready to cook' meal deal.

I personally prefer the meal deals to eating out as i cant be arrrrrsed wiv the faffing about that comes with eating out.

Im not sure im seeing the value in this one unless the sides and deserts are double the size of the usual meal deal which im not convinced they will be (unless its the individual deserts but the majority of the puddings serve 4 small servings anyway). I suspect for the extra £5 you are getting a better cut of meat or a large chicken so im not convinced of value but will check it out in the hope im wrong :D
in the standard £10 deal the medium chicken was £10 alone in some cases...

    People with children?

People who are exhaused after work & don't want to go out again?

People without a glut of cheap restaurants nearby?

Not everyone is a London singleton:rolleyes:

I did see that the sides are double the size of the normal £10 deal in an earlier post. If so it's £5 more expensive for double sides and double main meal. Hope so...
If it's free and I can eat it, I'll have it!

I live in London and use Top Table all the time - but have never menaged to get a dinner out for four for £20! £40 perhaps... but not for £20! And certainly not includnig wine!

No, the food isn't as nice as going out for the whole restaurant experience - but I love a quiet Saturday night in with a super-easy M&S meal deal.
