Perhaps a vege option is at the local store manager's discretion.

  • strange that there's no veggie option, i would've thought that they would include the vegetarian nut roast (seeing as it's a "mothers day roast" offer)

No doubt the veggies wll then complain that the nut roast is cheaper than the roast beef....

I find that the normal meal for 2 manages to feed 4 of us anyway. I am talking about 2 adults and 2 children. The vegetables and deserts only feed 2 anyway.

what type of red is it tho?!

Carmenere is a grape variety, only found in Chile. I would say between Merlot and Cabernet. I love it anyway!:j

Most vegetarians i know don't eat fish.... since it is a meat/animal killed for consumption.

I'm not a vegetarian, but i think it's very unfair not to include a vegetarian choice. Why can't vegetarians enjoy the same deal as everyone else??

I was only joking :D. I think that it is ridiculous that they haven't got a veggie option on the list. I am tempted to email them and ask why not, it is a pretty big mistake to make.

I don't really understand what the fascination with the M&S meal deals are. I live in London and booking through Tobtable via special offers we usually eat out (4 people) for little over £20 anyway. Or get a takeout for £15.

If I wanted to eat in I'd just buy the ingredients and make my own meal for less than £5. Roast lamb/turkey etc. doesn't involve much preparation just add a few herbs, pop it in the oven and it comes out great.

People who have undertaken these offers before: How would you honestly rate the food compared to eating out?

Im not sure im seeing the value in this one unless the sides and deserts are double the size of the usual meal deal which im not convinced they will be (unless its the individual deserts but the majority of the puddings serve 4 small servings anyway). I suspect for the extra £5 you are getting a better cut of meat or a large chicken so im not convinced of value but will check it out in the hope im wrong :D
