That's great news about Joe. And you deserve a chill out, housework is always there - don't worry it won't just disappear :rotfl:

    Afternoon All,

Joe needs a haircut AGAIN! He has a double crown at the back - the only thing he got from his fathers side and makes him look really daft as soon as it grows. I used to cut it myself, but he likes it to be 'trendy' now not just all over number 2! So thats £10 that wasnt budgeted for. Never mind.

I am feeling very tired at the moment and have a HUGE spot forming, i can feel it and its already the size of a rock! EKKK I flipping hate spots!!

Im hoping Joe has had another good day, fingers crossed!

    HELLO!!!

Its Friday :j:j:j And end of school term!

Had quite a good day so far, had to go to the bank for the boss and there was a young girl in there crying becuase she cant get any money out beacuse of bank charges, i told her to wait while i paid in the cheques and then told her about this site and the template letters that she can download to reclaim her charges. She seemed a little happier. I hope i helped in someway. I also have her my email, i doubt i can do anymore to help her, but i wish someone had told me about this site years ago.

I have also just been speaking to one of the directors and it turns out that the other director has a house for rent, 3 bedrooms. She said that the rent is really cheap and is going to find out for me how much it would be etc. Ive asked him to get a price for me. I know he is going to want more that £600, not that i could even afford that, but the boss said his rents are really cheap  I hope so, if i could get out of that tiny flat and have my own tiny bit of outside space. Im trying not to think about it (honest, didnt seach for current prices or anything :o). It is prob a non starter, but the buts!!!! I really need to stop dreaming me thinks!

Angie is of to dream about what she could grow in tubs :o:o:o

Bless your heart, I really understand about wanting to move to somewhere better.
We are in a house with the council, but it's falling apart aroundour ears and they just dont seem to care.
With the Decent homes survey thing they did, I should have qualified for a new kitchen, but instead they said no. I have had to fight to get them to replace the kitchen sink unit. They did it today and I cried my eyes out because I now have three different types of cupboard in there, and it just looks really ugly. But apparently I should be grateful full stop lol. I am grateful to have the new unit in, but even the line managers and workers said that it just looks a complete mess now, especially as the new unit isn't even vaguely the same size or colour, so there is even a gap between the tiles on the floor and the kickboard!
Still, at least I have somewhere to live, despite the plumbing problems and drips from the ceiling and holes in the floor boards and sockets that don't work!
*sigh* sorry, I didn't mean to come here and complain :S
It's just, like you, if I could afford to, I would have moved loooong before now lol.
But, hey-ho, onwards and upwards...and at least it is the summer holidays now!!!!

Hey dont worry! The council can be so crap sometimes!!! Im so sorry about the kitchen, i dont understand why they dont just replace it!!!
I know how you feel about the decorating too. :money:In my temp place years ago they replaced 1/2 the kitchen tiles, so i had have cream half white!

I have a few probs here too with repairs. Last year 2 radiators fell of the wall as they have only been fixed into plaster board. So they came out after me having 2 days off work and a now soaked bedroom and living room carpert. And all they did was cap the bloody things. Then another afternoon off a young gent comes round to put them back up. He turns up and looks at the rads, we have an ohhhhhh and a ahhhhhhhh and then 'sorry love i dont have a long enough screw' My reply tell me about it you lot never do! So i phoned up the HA to complain about having to have 2.5 days off and the fact that the bloke didnt have a long enough screw and telling her my reply, she is finding it quite funny, and it was just not to me at the time.
So a week later, another gent comes round, uses a longer a screw and what happens, they just fall back off
So 3 days off now, i now the survey man needs to come round  3.5 days later still no rads  On day four of being off to deal with this and a very peed of boss another gent comes round, glues a bit of wood on the outside of the plaster board  and hen tells me that i have to phone HA to get the rads put back up. The thing is the repairs they have done still wont hold the rads. So for over the last year i still have no rads in the living room and my bed room. I gave up, plus i just can afford nearly a week off in total to get them fixed. It would be cheaper for me to just pay someone to do it in a day.

    Stupid HA's!!!

And i am grateful for the place i have to live, just sometimes very frustrating!!!

    Morning All,

Joe has gone to work with my dad today, so he wont be back until later. He had the choice of libary or grandad! Gives me the flat to myself, and i can get some housework done :rotfl:
Ive also got a few hours off works work to do over the weekend, which all adds up for my overtime, August is going to be a killer month for childcare, plus unforms, but i will get there.

Need a list today me thinks

    1) Once over in kitchen and living rooms, there not that bad, been keeping up during the week.

    2) Washing - as always, make sure i have enough jeans / tops for Joe next week

    3) Cat tray

    4) My bedroom, sort, clear floor, and hover

    5) Bathroom, once over and sweep

I also need some milk and other bits from tescos, but money is very short until the end of the month - AGAIN!

So the money sides of things, good bit im not overdrawn, bad, i dont really want to draw any monies out.

I have Joes tutors money put away in an envelope, so thats sorted.
Train fare money is in the bank so i can use my card, cash wise i have a grand total £45 for the rest of the month, including food.
    £10 for Joes haircut
So ive got £35 to last

    Its not that bad really.

Best stop posting and watching the soaps and get on, im still in my dressing gown, but ive been up since 7.30 :o

Well have been mega busy today. Joe got back about 1 and my dad dropped us into town, Joe desperatly needed trainers for the holiday as he only has his croc type shoes and boots. Managed to get a nice pair for a £10 :j Took me a while to find them but well worth it! Popped to the £1 shop and bought some ice lolly molds and a toy for Joe. Got the bus back using my osyter card and stopped off at tescos for some milk and frabric conditioner, i took £20 with me and came home with £3.53!

Got quite a bit of housework done, the flat is tiny i dont know why it takes me so long to clean it, but i think i need to do just one room at a time rather than parts off rooms, lol.

Money side, we have £39.53 left for food and all spends. The food side isnt too bad, and ive listed the freezer and managed a sort of meal plan

    FREEZER

    4 p soups
    sweetcorn
    peas
    green beans
    1/4 bag mixed peppers
    broc and cauli mix
    oven chips
    1/2 bag prawns
    few raspberries
    350g cherries
    steak
    mince
    6 veggie sausages
    3 fish fingers
    1 pizza
    1 fish in sauce
    2 chick breasts
    3 spag bol sauce
    6 potato cakes

    MEAL PLANS

    W/B 17/7

    Fri - [STRIKE]Spag bol[/STRIKE]

    Sat - [STRIKE]Pork ribs, veggie fried rice[/STRIKE]

Sun - [STRIKE]Had left over gammon, pots and veggies[/STRIKE]

Mon - [STRIKE]Veggie Pasta bake - make one for freezer[/STRIKE]

    Tues - [STRIKE]Spanish omellette and baked beans[/STRIKE]

    Weds - [STRIKE]Beef noodles - Had Pizza instead[/STRIKE]

Thurs - Bolonaise/Mac Cheese thingy bake

    W/B 24/7

Fri - Veggie Sausages, chips and baked beans

    Sat - Pizza night

Sun - Chicken Kievs, mash and veggies

    Mon - Mac Cheese

Tues - Fish Fingers, chips, and peas / Fish in sauce

    Weds - Prawn Pasta

    Thurs - Shepherds Pie

    Fri - Spag Bol

    Breakfasts - toast / cereal / porridge / fruit / yogurt

Lunches when at home - soups / sarnies / something on toast

The cherries will go into a cherry tray bake at some point and i need to make a couple of loaves so i can slice and freeze them for toast in the mornings.

The freezer will be empty after that and then on pay day i will do an online shop and re stock. I start to panic when i dont have at least 2 weeks of food in :o Good thing is there are no packed lunches for August so that will save some money to re stock with. I will do a meal plan for August soon, but even my basics like pasta and tins are low.

Sunday tomorrow so Joe has his tutor, will finish sorting all the clothes and putting them away - i HATE ironing :rotfl:
