Thanks chevalier,
I do check freecycle every now and then, DS does still need a bed - he has been warned not to jump on it, lol.
In fact think i think i may pop over there now.

Afternoon,
Yesterday was manic and to top it all i hust felt wiped out. Had to do the VAT return - not fun. Just loads of double checking really but it hurt my head. Did have a glass of wine with a mate who just had a baby, its amazing how drunk you can feel on 2 glasses when you havent eaten and are sitting in the sun, and i mix mine with lemonade - im such a grown up, lol.
Was thinking alot about the meeting i had, i really should of taken my dad with me, even though i thought i was prepared. The gent asked me what would change if Joe behaved at school and i said, well his learning, the phone calls, having to punish him nearly daily or take something away.
And he then said but you dont have to know this
to be honest i just laughed at that comment. I mean come on, if i was a parent who didnt want to know id be wrong. I just dont know what to do anymore as it just confused me compleatly. Am i punishing him to much, he hasnt watched telly for the last week. And they dont even really think he has ADHD or ODD.
And im also not really happy the way i was questioned on Joes dad. Joe knows that his dad doesnt live with us and his name and the fact that he doesnt want to be with us. But i was questioned quite a bit about him and the were things Joe know nows but doenst understand because he is just not old enough. As you can tell its taken me a couple of days to think about all of this and process it all. Shame im not closer to finding a real answer, if anything im more confused. Maybe parenting classes will help and i will now what to leave at school and what not to. I just feel that if Joe misbehaves he needs to have a consequence and that doesnt happen at school. God i could rant about this subject all day, but its the weekend and im going to enjoy it.
Got a bit of tidying to do, and need to hover and of course im always washing clothes. Good thing is today will be a NSD. Will need to pop out though for the tutors money tomorrow and some milk tomorrow. Not sure what were up to tomorrow other than the tutor, fancy doing something in the afternoon feels like ages ago we had a day out.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, its slightly cooler today and the flat seems barable, i dont even have the fans on, which is just as well as ive got a £120 electric bill  Will have to sort that, still havent really sorted the budget, things always pop up and screw it up which is why im on this mess.0 -
Keep the faith AB. You're being consistent the thing that Joe needs most. Imagine how confusing it would be to him if he's allowed to create chaos at school with no comeback and when he does the same at home he's grounded.
From what you've said on here it's the so called professionals who need to look at what they're doing not you. Joe has a stable home life, the status of his father is only relevant if it impacts on you both and for what you've said it doesn't. Joe knows what he needs to know, it doesn't change, he doesn't witness anything untoward, end of story.
If you didn't pay attention or care then you need help parenting and funnily enough you'd be one of the statistics that Social Work, Teachers, Police etc love to wave around...single mums who's kids are out of control AND they don't care. You're different, you're smart, you work, you're building a home and future - DO NOT let these people who are looking for an easy target make you the problem. Joe has some issues, you're trying you're hardest to work with them to help him overcome these issues while he's a little boy not when's he's a teenager and it's too late.
Be very proud of yourself and keep going...you will meet someone at somepoint who understands and starts to support you...but they are few and far between. For most stereotyping and finger pointing is just a much easier, lazier option.
Try and have some fun this weekend. That's an order!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Thanks kissjenn,
you are very good at words and you are a star!

Morning,
Have been up for a while, not much done, but then again not alot to do so thats good. I will scrub the bathroom when Joes tutor is here. Not sure what we are doing this afternoon but no doubt my dad will be on the phone soon. List for today,- [STRIKE]
- make up pasta salad for Joes lunches
- [/STRIKE][STRIKE]Scrub bathroom[/STRIKE]
- washing x3 and one overnight second load is already in
- put clean washing away
- make sure living room and kitchen are tidy before bed
- do some more comps, and surveys, hour max - will do this when i get back this afternoon.
I stupidly started to blizt the kitchen last night and re-organzise it, i know remember why it is the way it is cause the micro doesnt go anywhere else and neither can the bread maker, it just looks daft, so im going to sort that too.
Anyway none of this will get done while im on here!0 -
Well Joes tutor has been, im really pleased with the progress he is making. I can read with him and do writting. But she knows what hes ment to be doing. Im going to keep it up over the summer, hopefuly it will make him more confiedent in english when he goes back, and in the long run his behavour.
Bad news is that my dad fell down the stairs last night, he has really hurt himself and i think he is quite bruised and sore. Hes got his girlfriend there, and shes gone to the chemist to see what she can find. He will no doubt be like a mummy if he gets to work tomorrow, she does look after him. I hope hes ok, he usually just carries on so he must be hurt to not want to go out today. I will phone and check on him later.
I dont know what to do today, ive suggested a picnic in the park, but Joe wanted to play downstairs so hes out with a couple of mates at the moment. Not sure what we can do, but i do have a real urge to go to a £1 shop, lol. Had a look round one on Wednesday with Joe before the meeting with CAHMS but didnt buy anything, they had some nice cars storage boxes that i fancied getting for Joes room. I was thinking about his bed, and im sure my dad could sort it out rather than buy a new one. I think i could get away with buying some paint and re doing the bed and wardrobe. It could last another couple of years me thinks and save me money.
Bathroom is sorted and so is the pasta salad, tuna, grated cheese, chopped sausage, sweetcorn, peas all in seperate boxes to make up in the morning, thought id do the grated cheese and sausage to make it a bit different instead of just tuna all week.
Now off to think of something to do, not much of the day left.0 -
Morning,
Im stuck in another office this morning, so thought id have a quick update, spent £34 in tesco yesterday. Not as bad as it seems as some stuff was for Joe. Will break it down later when i have the reciept.
In the end, we went shopping and bought a few bits, came home had sarnies in the garden. We then built a ants home thingy that we bought from Tescos, reduced from 9.99 to 4.99. But then we couldnt find any ants, we will have to search harder tonight. Nice peaceful afternoon / evening.
My dads ok and is in work limping, he wants to go to hastings next Sunday. Which im already really looking forward to. :j0 -
Morning,
Joe had a good day yesterday! So that was good. Ive got a meeting with the school this morning with the head, Joes teacher, SENCO and behavour outreach lady, oh this is going to be fun, lol. I think we are going to put in plans ready for juniors, im not sure to be honest.
So its another late day for me at work, boss is going to saying something one day.
Ive also been quite naughty and used my card online, for Joe, £5. (will update sigs as money is disapering) We have 50 black ants coming this week for his ant world. Yes, i am crazy. Joes very good theory behind this is that he is learning about bugs at school and this will help him understand ants. So the ant thingy is ready to go, we are just waiting on our ants. Ive told Joe that hes got to think of 50 names!0
