Well done on reaching a compromise. Your headgear looks fab btw.
Go to whatever wedding fairs you can, use the internet too, see if you can lay your hands on a free bridal directory (these are often given out at wedding fairs) and can be quite handy - I use them like catalogues so if someone asks me a question, I think oh I saw that in so and so directory and go and find the details:DSemper in faeces profundum variat

Wow that hat really does suit you!
I'm so glad you have managed to reach a compromise that you are both happy with.
I think if something is important to you then it is never to early to start looking, ie your dragonflies.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

I think the hat is gorgeous and you're extremely pretty by the way so you'll look gorgeous on your wedding day regardless of what you're wearing!0

Thank you for the picture of your hat/fascinator, it is gorgeous and looks fab on you, don't you dare not wear it.
I'm sure you could find the dragonflies on Ebay, you can find almost anything on there. I know what you mean about them being important to you, I'm have blue butterflies in memory of my baby nephew who died almost two years ago, aged a few days, I managed to find my flowergirls dresses with blue butterflies on them, it means a lot to me to acknowledge him and it's still quite hard to think if he'd live he'd be two and toddling around, getting into trouble.
Have a look here:

You could have lights, confetti or dragonflies in with the flowers, they'd all look fab, you could even have them on the cake if you wanted, the skies the limit!!! Good luck and I'm happy you managed to sort things out, congratulations!!!:A :

and thank you this is lovely! added to my wedding favorites now! :T0 -
I'd be tempted to marry abroad, where you can have a religious ceremony on a beach somewhere, you get to wear your dream outfit and he can wear his trainers!
If family / friends want to join you, they can - otherwise do the black/white themed party afterwards...
Other than that - would also be a bit concerned about his demands and comments, as others have said. My ex was exactly like that and was 1000 times worse after the wedding, one of many reasons why I divorced him! My current fiance has left the whole wedding arrangements to me, so I get exactly what I want... his only stipulations were about the costs, and he doesnt want a cast of thousands there. We agreed on around 25 guests.
Maybe I have got the wrong end of the stick, but be very sure about making a 'compromise' that doesnt meet your needs for your wedding day, because it follows that you will have a lot worse to deal with if you allow him to bully you into doing what he wants - having set a presedent, you have to compromise yourself every day of your married life!!
Take care hun,
