This is just madness!I am the General Manager of an hotel in Telford and am happy to offer advice. I can't promise to be perfect, but I'm happy to try to help.

recently one of my friends had a slight accident with a work colleague in the passenger seat, there was no damage to the cars involved. the following day the colleague put in a claim for whiplash. So maybe the insurance payments would also need to be included in the travel cost?
And how would it work with the insurance which says not for hire or reward?0 -
Shall we have a poll?
Pee - you make a good point - technically M is providing a service at what could be argued as sub-market price (should local taxi firms contact OFT?) but also, what is the insurance implications? Not for hire or reward will invalidate any claim? And I bet M probably only has thrid party (considering ther are stingey enough to charge K the full amount and more for the trip).
Just to remind people - K doesn't get picked up either - K has to cycle to M's place and get there before they leave.'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' : Member number 632

I think you have shown your bias again - 'Stingey enough' ????0

Which just goes to reiterate my point. Looks to me as if M REALLY doesn't want to be giving K a lift in the first place. My advice to M if that's the case is to feel under no obligation to give K a lift, and frankly either say so or raise his price further to a point where he either prices himself out the market or can continue this service but at a renumeration point which puts a smile on his face.0 -

The thick plottens.... this sounds like a case for CSI:Rugeley0 -
Isn't this a bit like when you get someone out to quote you for something, e.g. getting your electrics done and they give you a ridiculously high quote- which actually means they don't want the job?
Maybe whoever drives the car- forgotten which letter we are now on, is saying such a high price (in some people's opinion) because they don't actually want to drive the other person.0 -
