Extra Leg Room on Flight

Put simply... the person in front *does not* recline their seat. If they try, I push back hard and stop them. They eventually get the message.
Why should the person sitting in front of you have to suffer just because you have long legs ? Take an aisle seat......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I have to take valium before flying as I suffer from claustrophobia.
Surely they would not allow an Emergency Exit Seat to be occupied by someboby who had taken Valium ? :eek:2009 Savings & Winnings so far....Pigsback £15.06 +[strike]£40[/strike] M&S Vouchers + £20 New Look + TNS £15 Capital Bonds + Qype Ninja Goodies + £50 Virgin VoucherSealed Pot Challenge #589 - Target £1500 -
How would cabin crew know who'd been necking valium and who hadn't ?.................

i dont think thats the issue. i just dont agree that people who can afford the seats, deserve it any more than those who need it.
and i dont think im entitled to it because i deserve it, but if its between a 6 foot 5 person and a average height family and the kids who decide to pay for it, then thats wrong,
the seats should be sold last when all needy people have been allocated, then sell whats left if any.
And what if the flight has more above averaged height people on the flight than there are extra leg room seats? fight to the death maybe?Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

Yep, this is what they do on cruises - you want a balcony you pay big premium - take a chance that some are not allocated and if they can sell your cabin again you get free upgrade - just dont expect it if you dont pay.omelette451 wrote: »
Again, what about thin people who are squashed by fat people next to them? There IS an answer: pay for a better seat.
Thin people are only squashed by fat people cos the fat people occupy more than their own seat. Might not be their problem they are fat but its not mine either...only it is when they are so round their elbows are in the space I have paid for :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Talking of paying....90kg average male adult + 20kg baggage allowance would get charged a fortune if he checked in with another 30kg. 120kg adult with 20kg baggage taking up half my seat pays no extra. Who is subsidising the cost of fuel to get fat bloke off the ground???0 -
But you can stretch your legs into the aisle. That's probably what the op meant.
Apart from being even more uncomfortable sitting sideways, this is inconveinient to other passengers and cabin crew using the aisle (which is usually most of the time), it must also be a H&S concern - trip hazard etc. :huh:0 -

You dont have to sit sideways???
And if someone comes just move for a second.0 -
Maybe the airlines ought to have a box for people similar to the ones you put hand baggage into to see if size is OK. If you cant fit in the box - too tal or too fat you make other provision ie pay extra for tall/fat seats.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
