re the question abt taking things back with no receipt.bought that gym ball ( and had intended to keep it) using the £5 voucher.i was knackered pumping it up and when i did it wudn't stay up.took it back last fri and was told no refund without receipt.had to spend the total amount ( £10) there and then.no budging on giving me a gift voucher and the supervisor just said it was new policy.well i didn't want owt 4 £10 plus i was going shopping and didn't want 2 carry the ball around with me -and take it back- i persuaded them 2 keep it instore 4 me returning 2day.rang boots CS yesterday and complained 2 the young lass who in turn spoke 2 her line supervisor twice.i spoke with him and he rang the store manager here who agreed 2 give me a gift voucher which i picked up this morning.i really don't c why there was such a performance.last fri was the 1st time i've come across nebody snotty in there.

apparently BOOTS have changed their returns policy, if you return things with no receipt all you can have is an exchange. I told the SA i have a gift card and she could add money onto that but she said no, its a new policy (she was very nice and said it didnt make sense but thems the rules!)... is this right?? anyone else had this happen recently.. or do i feel a call to CS coming on lol

    hi pash ,
i took some stuff back this morning with no reciept , got £23.50p on a gift card , but there WAS a sign on the till stating that they would only exchange without reciept , but with reciept they would exchange , refund or give money back , sa never mentioned it to me so i never mentioned it but maybe that was because the stuff had caused a skin reaction ????????[/QUOTE]

boots will give a refund (with reciepot) or gift card (without recdiept) on nay boots own brand products that have caused a reaction

they wont on other companies brands tehy tell you to contact their ho's

they will only give an exchange if its youve just changed your mind

  • Wen i took them back it was about a week after i had stopped using them and thankfully by then the stinging had stopped but it was still dry and flaky:eek: (although she didnt ask to see!! i'm sure some crabby sa's might want to see as they are probably qualified beauticians as well as !!:rotfl: ) but i just explained to the nice sa what had happened and she thought it could be due to the perfume in there but was quite happy to refund.

I'm sure if you explain then there shouldnt be a problem.

Not yet Freebie, but I will be aiming my emails at companies that target teenage girls - rather hoping that some of the make up companies will send her something nice!

Thanks again for the idea! :T

    good luck! ;)

    Hello-
in Boots today all the old acm offers had gone, leaving only the new ones from last week. So it only took a minute to check them. Thanks for the tips re the no7 wallet set thing- got two today with vouchers.

happy bunny, just got back from boots and got
2 no 7 hair spritz bogof
2 no 7 lip shimmer bogof
2 no 7 body buffer bogof ( great for using before putting on fake tan)
    free lilac bag
    7 x sc masks
spent £22.odd (tried to think how to split this but could not with the bog offs)

gave a 250 points voucher from my last no 7 lilac bag

got 1016 points, free bag and £5 no 7 voucher plus another 250 points form my new lilac bag billy bargain...only problem was 1 of my masks had leaked in the bag and gone everywhere still will keep the boxed items now covered in mask for myself rather than pressies ( any excuse :D )

Thing is, if you've got half your face falling off, you probably don't want to go out shopping in public!

A stand-up row with a crabby mare is only going to get your blood pressure rising which will exacerbate the problem if your skin's sore and itchy.
