I bought an expensive highchair as I had to wean my DS at 4 months and he couldn't sit up unaided. I HATE it and it is in the loft. I have a £12 one from ikea and i just love it. SO easy to clean and just right for him. I will buy another one of these for this baby too. If s/he has to be weaned early they can sit in bumbo till they can sit up.0

There are so many inconsistencies in that report 3OIW.... I think it's something that can't be followed through really... Short of frog marching men down to the registry office and forcing them to do it... And like you said, what about the kind of girls who can't pinpoint it?!
There was something being discussed on the Wright Stuff the other day about IVF babies... How someone has had the bright idea that you should put anyone you fancy down as a second parent...
At least when Hubby adopts Aimee she'll get a shiny new certificate with his name in the Daddy space...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Congratulations Mel. XXX :T
Glad bubs is ok MrsMoc, take care. X
Afternoon all, work is getting too hard as I have no patience. All I had today was 'I can't do it'. How come kids pick up on your vibes so well as I know everything to be done was easy! Went into the loo mid afternoon just so I could have a scream.
£270 on a highchair, hmm! That's more than I intend to spend on our week away in August for 5 of us. How about suggesting your dad buys a cheaper one and opens an account with the rest?Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
believe me if my dad wanted to buy it, he will buy it, even with me telling him not too..0

I CAN SMELL BIN AGAIN!!!
What the hell?? OH emptied all the bins and there isn't anything smelling as far as he can smell. I CAN SMELL IT. Damn you hyper sensitive nose.
My sis has been contracting every 8-15 mins since 4am this morning. Not getting any closer together. She had rung the ward and they said it could be 24 hours at this stage and not to call back till she is 5cm....0 -

I saw a programme last Sunday on this. You will be able to pick anyone as the second parent and they had gay couples on the programme saying they wanted to do this. I don't get it as how does a named person help the child in the future understand where they came from, or if the dad has been deliberatly pushed out, where does he get his name put as surely legally he has this right. I'm not sure if i have an opinion or not but just thinking about the consequences of this.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Not alot you can do then, oh well. X:DToo many children, too little time!!!0 -
Tara, I'm not sure but I'm guessing in the case of IVF with artificial insemination then you wouldn't know the father's details to put on the certificate... I imagine it's someone's bright idea to cut down on the number of 'single' parents or children with only 1 parent...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Weezle, what about arnica tablets? Then she can use them whatever she decides.
Mrs.Moc, gald bubs is OK, was thinking when I read your first post about placenta priverea. A few of the girls I was 'in with' at hopsital had it, all had to have sections as it was over the cervix and they bled on and off, a sudden gush of blood or one just had a constant trickle. But any luck it will move out the way. How far are you?
CONGRATULATIONS MEL!!!
Tonight I must study genetics so tell me off if I post. Do I want another salad cream sandwich (there is also gammon and cucumber in it, but mainly it's salad cream)?? Baby was kicking every time I changed gear coming home, she must have found a nice comfy spot and I kept squishing her!
See this parental responsibilities thing, I can't work it out. With DS1, hubby and I were not married, but he is name3d as Daddy on the birth certificate (he also took his Dads name as we were going to get aroung to getting married at some point). He was born sept 2001 and we married nov 2003. Now, the leaflet says he has to sign the PR form, but the form says he doesn't as we married.... I am so confused! Oh and teh telephone number never gets answered! Plus, DH is not happy as as he says 'If you die having this one, will I actaually have PR for DS1?'0
