As people have said, the hospital has a list of births/mums names from the hospital, and they tick you off when you register yours.

I was suprised that you didn't need to provide proof of who you/partner were. OH had to come with me as we're not married, but I was thinking you could take any random man with you, and give any name/dob to them. So if you wanted too, you could put David Beckham or George Cloony as father on the birth certificate!!

    Love to MrsMoc. xx
My cousin, well i say that very lightly, took her Boyfriends best mate to register the baby in the boyfriends name because said boyfriend was in prison at the time and couldnt go.

I just fetched Aimee from school and her teacher stopped me to say 'gosh, you've bloomed this week' think that was her way of saying...'Blimey, you're huge!' Then one of the other Mum's said 'you haven't got long to go have you?' and when I said another 2 months she told me I'd been pregnant for ages... Thanks for pointing that out... I hadn't noticed actually... (She almost touched me too but her hand kind of hovered in front of me then she must of thought better of it and put it down)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hi Nicki,

What I was looking for was a higher than normal chair for the baby to sit in - either Bouncer, swing or high chair that will be suitable from birth.

    Hi Molly

Two points spring to mind. The first is that for the first few months, the baby is not going to be heavy at all. Even if you do give birth to a complete bruiser, it will weigh less than say a small bag of spuds until it is about 4 months. I should have thought that one of the cheap baby bouncer type things sitting next to the sofa would work, so you could sit on sofa, pick baby up, then get off sofa holding baby over your shoulder. When baby is starting to be able to hold up its head (around 3 months) you'll have a lot more choice in what you can go for.

The second point is that from birth, you really want baby lying flat as much as possible. My two spent virtually the whole of their first few months lying flat in moses basket or pram if not lying on the floor under a multi-gym or being cuddled! If you want something which swings, you can get swing-stands for a moses basket as well as fixed ones. These would both bring baby up to around waist level, and again would be fine for baby until it is big enough to enable you to have more choice on highchairs.

So the bottom line is, if it were me I wouldn't be restricting my highchair choices to ones suitable from birth, as you are likely to end up with one which is both more expensive than it needs to be, and not as convenient as you would like for when the baby is older.

DH has put together the moses basket stand :T :T

It's looking very cool! I know it's just the cheap £29 jobbie from JL but that was the one I liked best :rotfl: - simple and plain and not in the least frilly which is one of my pet hates :)

    we're getting there! :D

Well have just woken from a 3 hour sleep and feel a bit better.

Im 21 weeks today Tiamia, The blood was gushing last night and bright red, but is now dark brown and very light.

When they mentioned CS last week at the 20 week scan, I felt gutted, but after last night Im just so relieved the baby is okay and praying it stays that way.

They did scare me a bit today saying the bleeding would most likely come back and to go to hospital immediately cause of the danger to me and the baby.

On a positive note, Well done Mel congratulations!!!

That highchair at £270 WOW, I wish I could afford that!

I dont think I could bring myself to spend the £109 on a highchair either though, I got a brand new one from freecycle, its plain but its mamas and pappas and does DS1 at the moment.

My MSE brain is well and truly ingrained, I hate buying stuff unless its reduced/on offer/bargain on ebay.
