He'll have PR deffo IF you re-registared him after you got married, did you do that? we did and got a shiny new BCert with my married name on it as mother

Nope didn't do that as we didn't know you had to do that. Think I will just go into the reg office and ask what is going on. I knew nothing at all about it till I got my pack for this pregnancy and it had a leaflet in it!!! Concidering this was an unplanned, suprise, shock pregnancy it's a bit crap.

Mrs.Moc, know hwo you feel about CS, but there is the hope it will move out the way, so 'mobile placenta vibes' to you ;)

Another one here looking forward to the birth story MFD!!

I know what you mean krystal, it is nice to get something you set your heart on and it is very pretty.

With DS1 I really wanted the quinny pram, but just couldnt justify spending the money with so many cheaper altenatives. I ended up scouring ebay until I got one in great condition at a fraction of the price.

Im so used to trying to save money on most purchases, I have almost turned it into an art form. I rarely pay full price for anything anymore, though have been known to impulsively buy something if I have completely fallen in love with it and cant source it cheaper elsewhere.

Sorry to hear your feeling sore AM, hope it eases soon.

I'm the same Mrs Moc, I won't pay full price for anything if I can help it... And the independant baby shop has this high chair in cheaper than online... And I'm thinking that by the time we need it, hopefully it will be last years range and priced to clear ;)

Either that or the in laws haven't offered to buy anything yet ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

What kind of pram are you having? If you are having one with a carrycot, you might be able to use the carrycot with a swinging stand downstairs, and have the moses basket permanently upstairs on its fixed stand?

We just used to carry baby up and downstairs in the moses basket as needed but I can see if you find it difficult to carry things which are cumbersome due to your hips that might not be a workable option for you.

Alas, carrying things up and downstairs, will not be an option. But Sami gave a link to the mamas & papas Ultimo 8 in 1 that has a carrycot and stand that looks good. We haven't decided definately on any pram yet, but I think that one will be a good option for us.

Well assuming that its not diff in scotland..
in jolly old england sometimes you can re-reg child straight after the ceremony while ur there or as we did we were given a form with our wedding cert that we had to fill in and make an app to go back and re-reg him so now on his BCert it says his mum n dad are Mr n Mrs not Mr and Miss :D (not that it really matters but at least he's now classed as "proper" in the eyes of silly old stick in the muds

oh MTW I know its naughty and I'm not saying you should copy my naughty parenting BUT I had a 'C' shaped pillow v much like the widgey pillow that Chris spent a lot of time in on the sofa next to me so there wasn't any bending there :)

    Hi all..

I've read through to catch up, but didn't take notes so forgive me if I forget someone!

Mel - congrats on the birth of Kai!
Mrs Moc - feet up and moving-up placenta vibes to you!
Feelie - did you have a good time at your nan's? See any good prams?
MFD - how are you and Benjamin? Temps okay now? (says the novice with no idea how long these things take to sort out!)

No news yet on AF or emlou  Also, does Jo_R's son have a name yet? :)

I woke up feeling very cheerful this morning - no idea why, must have been the sun! Found an email in my inbox from an extremely good candidate for OH's boss' job so I think all bets are off and he will just walk straight into it so no chance for OH, but hey ho, he might get a few chances made to his job description which will be nice (recognition for what he actually does).

AM and Krystal, any news on your OH's jobs, and MM, any news on yours? *fingers crossed* for you all!

Fitzio, all my maternity trousers and jeans are the same low rise hipster type that I used to wear - in fact my work trousers are an exact copy of my old ones so noone realised at first. Can't see myself going for anything with a big panel on the front, especially as I'm due in summer - don't you get hot with the other layer over your front?!

Apparently I "look pregnant" now as my darling colleague pointed out earlier - I just looked like I'd had a big lunch before! I must do cos one of the contractors came in earlier, looked me up and down, said "congratulations" then carried on!

I'm off out for tea with an old colleague tonight - one I used to work with at the same time as the woman who keeps making comments about my eating (who incidentially is off on hols all week! :D). Think I feel a rant coming on! ;)

Hope everyone else is well xx
