Not like my Nana, she's always going off.. Not that we'd ever acknowledge it obviously ;)

Lovely weather today... Got my washing on the line and the back door wide open, cats are in and out bless em... Have to go and rescue them from the tree later...

Thanks everybody for the well wishes, that was absolutely terrifying!!

Just back from the hospital, baby is okay, seen and heard the heartbeat. I have placenta previa (sp).

They have allowed me home, as the bleeding has subsided to spotting and I only live 10 minutes away and I have promised to have complete rest till its gone completely.

Very scary stuff, the doctor has said it will possibly happen again off and on right up until the birth and to come straight in next time as it can be dangerous for both me and the baby.

I did bleed from 6 weeks off and on for 2 weeks, though not sure if its related.

Anybody at all have experience of placenta previa (sp)? I think Im sitting in shock at the minute everything seems so surreal :o

Mrs Moc, I had low lying placenta early on and bled on and off up to 15 weeks (seems so long ago now!) It was a very worrying time and I had a couple of emergency scans at 11w and 13w but baby was fine, thankfully....

ETA: By the time I had a 20w scan it had moved right up out of the way...

Congratulation to all new mums. I don't log on for a couple of days and everyone seems to be giving birth! :D

Labour vibes to all who need them.

MrsMoc I really feel for you. At least they have let you go home which is reassuring in a way. :grouphug:

They only told me last week at my 20 week scan I had a low lying placenta, and I had an emergency scan at 8 weeks because of bleeding.

I feel gutted, but full of relief at the same time. There was a serious amount of blood last night then within minutes it went to spotting.

I had to plead with the doctor to come home, after DH going drinking last week, I couldnt trust him to mind the other kids. He is sober and back at AA, but its things like this which trigger his alcoholism.

Im going to rest, and if it happens again get my mum to come round, then go straight to hospital.

I am counting down the days to my 8 weeks scan (24th March - which seems to be coming at the slowest pace ever) and was wondering what I should expect? Also what questions should I be asking - I have absolutely no idea.
    Thanks
