    1:30pm tomorrow.

I don't like the Day Unit. They have big chairs to sit on, with your feet up, but your feet stick out under the curtain and I feel silly. Plus I can't read while I'm there - got to hold the sensor on the baby with one hand and record movement with the other hand, so shall have to sit and stare at a curtain for ages.

dont have any advice, but i wish i could have just one hand free, i have to squash my boob in place and out the way so he can breathe, once he's on thats me unable to change the channel or eat/drink for half a hour :rotfl: anyone know where i can get myself a 3rd hand?
Argh! Please don't do this... You really shouldn't have to move your boobies out of the way, you run the risk of blocking ducts, also you will find it incredibly difficult to maintain position during a long feed so will start slipping... This is when nipples get pulled and get sore... Check how he is lying... Bring his body closer to you and move him around a bit so his head is tipped further back... Or try holding him in a completely different position... The rugby ball hold (under your armpit) is a great one for larger breasts, baby is automatically tipped back more and there's no temptation to have their head in the crook of your arm...

Number 1 rule for everyone... Bring baby to your nipple not the other way round... If your nipples are low down... Hold the baby low down... Don't try and lift your breast to meet a baby who is lying too high...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

I feel all bleurgh. Supposed to 'let them know' if I don't feel right, but I think its just tiredness and lethargy from the medication. That said, got bad feeling BP might still be a bit high, won't be suprised if they keep me in tomorrow :(

BP was stable yesterday, but only just. It was going back up, so if it has carried on going up, it'll be high tomorrow. Now I'm all worried.
what meds is it? my nan has high BP meds and she was exhausted and headachy for the first couple of weeks so hopefully it could be that hun

I don't want to get told off for discussing medical stuff, so hopefully Tine isn't watching! :o

Its Methyldopa, and common side effects are tiredness and lethargy. Its likely just that, I'm just in a worried mood, which isn't good as the MW instructed me to not get stressed!

Tine is watching ;) Tine is making very sure that no medical advice is given or requested ;)
Seriously though Feely - even if only to make ME feel better would you please call them and let them know you're feeling icky? Purleeeeese? :)
Better safe than sorry hun... It might be worth mentioning that going in is stressing you out and can you not be monitored/self monitor your BP at home?

I can 100% recomend a BP moniter at home. Seeing for yourself that your headache and what not is not to do with your BP is so releiving. Do ask for a moniter to take home with you.

BP meds made me feel ...strange. Not nice at all. I'd call them and say your feeling bleugh and maybe they can change you onto something else.

    Thinking about ya Feelie xx

Don't think they'd let me have a monitor, they are huge things on wheels! Some staff have little ones, but they are really unreliable. My MW does it the old fashioned way, she doesn't like new technology!

I'll mention how I'm feeling tomorrow, see what they recommend. I assume there are a few drugs they can try? It won't be that if this doesn't work they'll whip him out with no warning?
