Although all kids in the schools here start in September, only nursary classes stagger the start
I work in the school, I wouldn't want my child there at just 4.And we're an outstanding ofsted school.

Never even thought about it until I worked there. They are just too little, it's a long day. I will make sure this one attends a good nursery for perhaps 3 mornings, for a year before school, it really makes a difference to how they settle in.Too many children, too little time!!!0

It's hard to explain with Ben. He started and it stood out that he was behind, then about 4 months ago, after a year in school, it all started to click. His phonics are excellent therefore his reading is good. Numeracy he just gets, that I think will be his strength. I just like to make sure he enjoys school which is why I hate year 2, sats are stoopid. The kids hate them! He has that next year but I keep hoping they will be scrapped. Headteacher doesn't think it will happen soon.Too many children, too little time!!!0

We get a full year in nursery for 3 hours a day before they start school if you want it, and the good thing that the one DD goes to the nursery unit is linked to the school which I think helps whereas a lot of the other ones are separate. The two best things I have done with my life

Couldn't fit that here, school doesn't even have a hall. Tiny playground and no land to build. Have to walk to the village hall once a week for PE but people drive from miles away to come here.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
Righty, standing order set up! Just had to phone a nice man at Alliance & Leicester and sounded really dumb cos I had no idea of the account number of the savings account I opened (for the £20 Quidco cashback!) "a while ago"... Found out I'd opened it in March 2008!! Oops0
