Hi all
Saw a post about raspberry leaf tea - wos that all about then? Apols for ignorance!!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!
Girl Cub due 14th September0 -
raspberry leaf tea, if drank from about 34 (i think) weeks, is meant to soften and loosen the cervix to bring on labour
is not meant to be drank any earlier'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Scratch mittens (DH insisted *sigh*) Socks stay on their hands better than the scratch mitts
Still got a few bits to get but nearly there! Check me out!
Just asked hubby if he could venture into the build in wardrobe and rescue my little suitcase... He wasn't keen until I pointed out that if I got rushed into hospital tomorrow he wouldn't have a clue what I'd need!
Feelie, did you go to your antenatal class tonight? We went to ours... Didn't really learn anything new... Wasn't keen on the midwife's attitude to breastfeeding and my boss who runs the breastfeeding class next week... But she doesn't know that I know my boss... So I'll be grassing her up tomorrow lol... Did manage to walk up the hill home with a bit more energy than usual though, don't know why!
Oh, and I'm really annoyed with my Mum... She came to watch Aimee while we were at the class and after she'd left I remembered we have no milk... She'd said she was stopping at the chippy round the corner before she went home so I gave her a quick ring to see if she could nip us a bottle of milk round on her way... But no... It appears it would be too much trouble... Only because a favour like that doesn't come with bragging rights... She only does things for us if she can tell everyone and make herself look good.... So now I have raging heart burn and no milk to ease it... and Gaviscon aint all that good!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

right DH and I have just scurried through the 3 bin bags of baby clothes - think we're keeping about 1/3rd of it and we're not sure she'll ever use all of that!!!
So my task at some point this week will be to re-list the 2/3rds we're NOT keeping - there are some really nice and branded stuff in there but looking at it a lot of it is VERY pink (I can cope with a little selective pinkness... but this is PINK!) and then there is just bundles of early baby stuff - now I know getting rid of that might be tempting fate a little but... I'm willing to risk it
I'd be very surprised if I didn't manage to make more than I paid for the bags in the first place so I am so chuffed!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hello!!
Not been online all day I can't catch up there are more than 10 pages of threads. I have been to see my sister she is still tearful and stuff but is feeling a bit more positive. Baby is still on special care but his trauma level is coming down which is good. He is still being sick which is why they can't put him on the ward.
Anyway I made her this to cheer her up and she loved it. It's made of 106 nappies and it's hollow inside and is filled with all lovely baby toiletries and things.
Here it is when finished
And here it is all wrapped up.
She cried when I gave it to her and all the midwives were cooing round it saying how good it was!!
Squee!! Am so proud of it as I have no artistic talent whatsoever but it looks pretty good if i do say so myself!0 -

I know socks probably stay on better but DH has actually taken some note of my many pregnancy books and read about babies scratching themselves etc so he was very insistent... I didn't have the heart to tell him socks would be better
Nipple cream... guess you're right - probably won't be needed till well after I'm back home - and if the BF support at hospital ain't great I always have you!even just knowing that I can go ask you makes me feel a lot calmer about BFing which in it self will probably help more than anything... daft isn't it?
