That's fantastic shelvis!! I wish I knew someone that would make me a nappy cake when baby is born lolA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

shelvis it looks great! I think it's brilliant and glad baby is doing better even if she's not allowed to have him with her in the ward yet

You talk to me nicely enough...
edited to add that that's reminded me I need to buy some more rubebr bands - much easier to secure them with rubber bands when rolled up than string or ribbon before you tie the pretty one round it...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Not daft at all, that's why we try and encourage people to go to groups etc before they have the baby so they can meet people and build a raport with them... Makes it easier to turn to someone for support if you're already comfortable with them... And online it's probably a little easier because none of us are real... So there's no worry about asking a stoopid questionI know socks probably stay on better but DH has actually taken some note of my many pregnancy books and read about babies scratching themselves etc so he was very insistent... I didn't have the heart to tell him socks would be better
Nipple cream... guess you're right - probably won't be needed till well after I'm back home - and if the BF support at hospital ain't great I always have you!

even just knowing that I can go ask you makes me feel a lot calmer about BFing which in it self will probably help more than anything... daft isn't it?

Yes I used rubber bands for the individual nappies, then string to tie the circles together and ribbon to cover it all up. Am so pleased with it!

Oh don't worry no-one will even think of making me one - but I'm starting work on one for DH's best man as they are due a boy any day now... will post a picture when it's done - just trying to find a good base for it at the moment grrrrr even double thickness cardboard isn't really hard enough - I MIGHT end up buying a cheap pizza baking tray if I can find one and adjust the bottom base size so it fits on... bit smaller than planned but hohum

My neck (right side) has a kink and it's so annoying and a bit sore! Tried all the physio I was given when I had tortecollis after I had DS2 and it's not helped
Mrs.Tine, your OH made me pee myself a little, I was laughing at him insisting on mits!

I signed up for the breast feeding workshop (not the birthing classes, I missed them both times and was fine), what actually happens at them?
I got my free huggies newborn pack (nappies and wipes and vouchers worth £5) from asda today. We were in getting tinned tomatoes and sweetocrn and stuff for the shop (2 full trays of each) and then this box of nappies, we got strange looks! Was on the bounty book you get in the pack (I almost threw it out as it looks like it's just a bookmark).
Oh! And I have two sofas to get rid of for next week my new corner sofa is ready!!! :j :j :j Means I got to like, clean the livingroom all proper.... and the sofas... might fidn DS1's tooth that he dropped down the back of it... reminds me to write a letter from the toothfairy saying her tooth scanner found the tooth and leave him a quid :rolleyes:0
