DD is home from hospital on antibiotics. This hospital experience was not a good one at all. No one likes being in hospital and when some of the staff seem to not care about their patients and making sure they get meds that are ordered for them, it feels much worse.

Steel & Anne Thanks much for the very hot pan and fat tips for the yorkies. I didn't realize how late in the day it was when I planned to make them. Every recipe I read said to let the batter rest for at least an hour so I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Tonight was a pasta bake of sorts with a tin of tomatoes, peppers, herbs and some cheeses tossed in for good measure. I had macaroni noodles so it looked a bit strange but tasted good.:D

I hope everyone gets good rest tonight. We're just heading out to take the doggy for her last walk and a quick walk through of our Tesco express to see if there are any YS things we can use. Then home and to bed.

UP date..........Have had an email from Continental this evening, they confirm they do not give refunds, but it is possible to use the 'credit' against another flight, this last for 12 months from the time the tickets were boooked, well we booked in April last year......so guess we will not be jetting off........I am going to print the message and send it back to them along with some of the other stuff they asked us for.

OH had spoken to someone at the insurance company this afternoon and told them to contact Continental themselves, no way were we going to ring the USA, I thought that was the Insurance Comapies job to get the info they needed...seems I was wrong, we have to do the work ourselves......I await results...........

Evening guys,

I went back in to work today as LO was a lot better and I really can't afford too many unpaid days. However I'm not back in until next Weds, so a nice break is ahead. I was going to take the kids to shell island on Sat. but the forecast looks horrible so that may happen on Sun. instead.

The house has been hoovered through, swished and swiped, lunchbags done and I have 2 items in my iroing pile. :T :T :T The last wash is on and I am going to do an internet shop next, then I will crash for the night.

The pc is on the way out (the blue screen of death now makes regualr appearances) and this lappy is so slow it's unreal (buying cheap means minimal memory) so I have invested in a new one from Dell. I figure it won't be much dearer than the £100+ quote on installing some memory, fixing the pc and it's 4 years since it needed a new hard drive........... DD is delighted as I will wipe everything off this lappy and install all of the games she never gets to play so that she gets a 'look in'. I just hope the pc lasts a while longer as DS1 has taken that over, I will cross that bridge later rather than sooner I hope.
