    Hi all,

Made up a little pamper hamper for a friend of mine (nothing flash, just some little bits from boots and some chocolate) and left it on her desk last night as she was having a rough day yesterday.

    Morning all

Nice lie in for me today and I'm on my first cup of tea. Today and tomorrow are going to be lazy days. I'm pretty much up to date on all the housework apart from some wet washing to hang up so really just a few hours of client work to do.

Still doing the spreadsheet planning our major forthcoming expenses and rewriting my meal plans so they don't involve the gas range. Cat's noticed the heating went off last night - three furballs were fighting for space on the bed at 2am. Hedgehogs to move to our unheated conservatory today in readiness for being released next month.

RED RUBY - :T for your hard work on the Wii fit!
TIRED MUM - happy birthday DD2!
SYBIL - will he nap this afternoon so you can catch up on some sleep too?
MOGGINS - good luck with your job interview!
    BETH - that's a heck of a list you've got there
LADYMAY - glad your feeling better about everything
CELYN90 - don't give in for a quiet life if they're telling lies about you. Fight your corner quietly, but firmly. Don't stoop to her level.

Went to open the chickens this morning and noticed the farmer has moved his lambs and ewes into the back fields. It was wonderful to see the lambs scampering around playing with their little tails frisking.

Spring is well and truly here :T

    Have a great day everyone

Good morning everyone & I hope that this finds you all well.

On here a bit later than usual as I've had a lazy start to the day & decided not to get dressed until all the kids had gone :p I'm just waiting for the 2nd load in the WM to finish then I can peg out the bigger stuff & put the samll stuff upstairs on the airers. Lunch will be a sandwich in town as I'm going into Poundland for some Kellogs cornflakes that they've got on offer & dinner this evening is a tomato pasta concoction with peppers, onion, the gammon LO from last night & a jar of pasatta :rotfl: It'll be yummy. I'm also going onto the fish/meat market to price up some big ham hocks for sandwiches. We're very lucky here as our local market has won the best in Britain for several years running & it's great. There's not much you can't find on it & plenty of specialist stalls selling Black Pudding (yuech) & cheeses. I'll try not to be too tempted by anything though :D

((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) to any that need one. Sybil I hope that your cooking goes well.

    Morning all.

Bright and sunny here today so far - that always makes you feel better doesn't it. Day off today, has been a really hard week at work so far this week as we have been really short staffed, so I am really grateful for my day off today - have been going to bed at about 8.30 - 9.00 p.m. exhausted so it will be nice to act like a grown up again and stay up a little later!

So, today will be shopping initially, tidying round and then attempting more baking for packed lunches etc. Have never tried muffins but have been on a thread reading about how to make them - so might attempt them today along with hobnobs and not sure what else.

Money is extremely tight here at the moment but I am starting a little saving pot towards a breadmaker which I would love to get and a slow cooker too. I have been so inspired by you all but I think it will be a slow growing pot!!!

Good luck with the job interview moggins - I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hugs to all who need them. :kisses3:

  • Good Morning,

windy wet and a little bit rubbish here today. I have hockey training tonight so a full thermal and a waterproof will be called for:eek: Had a lovely surprise last night from OH. I got in at 6pm and he said "get changed I'm taking you for a pub tea!":T Nothing wild just gammon & chips and OH had a burger. Was really nice.

OS today is salad for lunch and omellete for tea. Stardrops will be out in force too over the next couple of days. Thinking about joining Freecycle to get rid of some bits.Is it any good??

Other news: Back to the Bank today. I spoke too soon as i thought everything was going fine until my bank (RBS), who we are opening the joint ac with, called to say OH's driving license has his old address on it. Tried to explain the license was just to prove he is who he is and the bills, credit card and bank statements not to mention his payslip proved his address. They want his passport too which just so happens to be in Aberdeen:rolleyes: Anyway he just went into his bank(BOS) and they said they can set up a joint account in 30mins and I just need to take my passport and a payslip!Hopefully it will get sorted today...don't hold your breath....

Hugs to Celyn,Little Bear,Bethebee (so much on just now!) and anyone else who needs a squeeze;)
Moggins, good luck for the interview, you can do it!
Redruby loving your Wii Fit chat, thinking about getting one too once we move. Everyone raves about them.

I'm not sure what size slow cooker you're looking for, but I have this one and it's been brilliant for me. Based on the customer reviews, it's an excellent product also. I think the price at £19.96 is good also.

    :hello: good morning!

nic1lou2 - Good luck with the baking! Muffins are really easy to do - you just have to be careful to stir the mix gently until the ingredients are just mixed in. if you beat the mixture they won't rise well. Hope this helps :)

HockeyDuo - Hope all goes well at the bank today. talking of passports, i've just got my new one and our DS said the old photo looks far more like me than the new one does (I wonder what he's after:p )

tired mum - Hope you have a nice day at Bluewater. Happy Birthday to your DD:bdaycake:

moggins - good luck with the interview, hon

penny_Pincher - Hope you're ok, thinking of you.

I haven't been on here since Tuesday afternoon, except very briefly y'day evening when I started catching up but then DH needed the computer, so hope all's as well as poss. ((((HUGS)))) to everyone, and WELCOME to our new posters (I'm sure there were some but can't remember names apart from Steel, sorry!)
Off now to try to catch up on y'days thread at least:rolleyes: :D
