Really confused now!
She is offering to sell you a 2 wired dialler (i.e. a V4 but 2 wired)
Hope the confusion is clearing.
(I doubt you have been given a certificate for your phone wiring - are you talking about the electric wiring?)0 -
I see thanks, Yes you are correct - eletrical wiring certificate yes, probablly not phone wiring i guess!
Surelly they could do a swap for me? as i bought a product (and this problem was not mentioned at the time) to a job and it does not do it? how would you know which one you needed, so new customers are surelly taking a gamble?
Also is there not somehting i could do to my existing V4 wired one? to make it a 2 wired version?
Thanks0 -
Best ask Orchid. (They can definitely answer both questions, but no-one on here can.)
They seem helpful, and if the one they sold you is no good, maybe they'll just do you a swap.

I don't think its any good selling yours on, as it will have been pre-programmed for you and your user name etc.0 -
Has anyone got a Ranger 400? I bought one and it's great, except I can't find how to make it have a normal ring! I only seem to be able to choose from 4 'melodies'. Can anyone help?
Is this how it's supposed to be? I know the phone can produce a normal ring, because it does when you page the handset from the base-station, but I can't for the life of me see how to set it for incoming calls. At the moment I've got the handset ring set to off - the tones are that bad.0 -
Well orchid have been helpfull, the second box they sent did the same, so they have arrange a swap for a ranger400!I don't think its any good selling yours on, as it will have been pre-programmed for you and your user name etc.0

Currently have Telewest line rental, but calls are routed through OneTel via the phonepal they supply. Have ordered a V4 from Orchid, but then thought, can this be used in conjunction with OneTel?
Some calls are cheaper through OneTel than the other providers.
TIA

Pick up phone, dial **#0000*1111*6 put phone down.
Pick up phone, dial **#0000*2222*6 put phone down.
Both the carrier and routing table will have been cleared.
To clear the area code:
Pick up phone, dial ****4 , put down phone.
To re-do the area code:
Pick up phone, dial ***{Your area code}*4
Hope this helps.43580 -

If you followed this poor (though no doubt well intentioned) advice, and re set your dialler last night (Saturday), then you will need to do it again, now that the clocks have really changed!0 -
