May be a silly question but how do you set up Orchid Dialler using CW Client as I don't seem to have a username/password that it asks for?

I followed the basic instruction sheet that came with the dialler but none of the calls are getting routed (switched on 1899 tariff message to check). Phone plugged in to dialler, dialler plugged in to broadband filter (phone socket), broadband filter plugged in to phone line. Have I missed anything please? I am assuming that if I can get the CW Client I can then set up times and different settings for 0845 as indicated on this site.

    Many thanks

If you can't access your Cwclient prog then you'll have trouble updating it! You should have received by e-mail a username and a password at the same time as you bought your dialler. I suggest you call Orchid (tel no on invoice) - they are very helpful. They can always set up your requirements (tell them over the phone or by e-mail)...and then all you have to do is "force dial". But the ability to update the settings yourself is best.

    Good luck!

That explains a lot - I now have username and password and can access CWClient.

As I am setting this up for a family member, is there a way to force the dialler to update remotely once I have updated the details? I read in the FAQ about a code that you can dial ***12#4567890*3 but you need to be there to do this and if I change anything, I will need to get them to do this each time. For some reason when we try it does not seem to be picking up the dialler.

    Many thanks

The family member has to force the dialler from their home, all you have to do is dial the code you mentioned above wait for the all the digits to be dialled and replace the handset. The dialler's LED should flash for about two minutes and you can check it has picked up the table via the CW Client.

Thank you for the advice Fayraz but it still does not appear to be picking up the routing table - finally managed to get it to connect after a number of "number not recognised" type messages, LED blinked for a few minutes which implied all would be well, but still nothing showing in "Active Routing" in CW Client. This is on a BT line.

    Many thanks

After you have dialled home, log into CW Client and search for the dialler and select the dialler you want and at the bottom right there will be three fields, first contact, last contact and how many calls you have dialled to do a update.

I've had this problem as well. The first one they sent me wouldn't let me force the dialler. Orchid said there was a problem with the dialler recognisising it's serial number. They replaced it. The replacement worked.
All was well until I removed the dialler from the phone socket when I was decorating. When I tried to force it to phone home, the same problem occurred. I've contacted Orchid, and they're sending me a phone, free of charge to see if that works. They say that there may be a problem at my exchange.
    Their customer service is excellent.
