oops. That makes sense. Will amend. Thanks0 -
I think a weekly updated Sticky along the lines obvious suggested in post # 456 is a fantastic idea. How about it mods?
Any volunteers to keep it updated?
The only amendment I would suggest at the moment is that the 01/02 offpeak should be Primus or JDS Saver Lite.

Perhaps I made a mistake by starting this in an existing thread. I don't want to detract away from the main message of the thread ie the discounts available on the Orchid Dialler.
I'd be happy to keep an eye on prices once in a while (at least for the time being) and I'm pretty sure that if there was a sticky with the best prices at the top then a lot of others would contribute as well. I'm not sure if post editing rights run out after a certain amount of time though on this forum?
..... just-dial Saver Lite added to 01/02 offpeak in post #4560 -
orchid_support wrote:Hi All,
The clocks are changing on Sunday and to keep your dialler clock up to date you will to do one of the following: (this only applies if you have time/day routing)
"force home" the dialler by dialling ***12#4567890*3 then hang up. Or you can update the clock using your phone, just enter the code below.
**#0000* (hhmmdowddmmyy) *2 Day Of Week is Monday = 1 through Sunday =7
so for today at 15:30 the string would be:
**#0000* 15305281005 *2 then hangup.
Please note, when entering these codes you may hear an announcement along the lines of "the number you have dialled has not been recognised" if you get this message ignore it and keep dialling, then hang up lift up and press redial..0 -
Hi I'm new so please be gentle with me ....
I've been using 1899 for a while and think it's pretty good - was impressed to see the mention of 18185 .... but when I looked through their website I have noticed a decrepency (or perhaphs it is correct) ? .... is anyone able to confirm ????
When you look at the UK mobile weekday rates (from the main page) it shows as 5p/min (+ 4p connection) .... but when you go to the Telewest/NTL customers page the same call type shows as .... 10p/min (+ 4p connection).
I'm a Telewest customer .... can anyone confirm what I would be paying?
Thanks :cool:0 -
The cheaper option is for customers renting a BT line0

Generally speaking (but not always) cable customers pay more than those using BT lines for 18866, 1899 and 18185.
So you will be paying 10p/min for calls to mobiles via 1899 or 18185 (plus a connection charge of either 3p or 4p respectively). The 18185 rate for BT line users dropped from 10p/min to 5p/min only a few days ago.....0 -

Did mine a couple of hours ago. I then logged onto the CW client, and it said that I last dialled home at 7:04 which was about right, and shows that they must have their clocks on the right time as well.0 -
same here. I've just "called home" and when I checked my routing table it said last called 10:47am (instead of 11:47am, which is the time it would've been if the clocks hadn't gone back)0
