God this is getting complicated ;)

OK, do you have a web site for 0870 lot?

Not at all sure what your question (above) is!!!

The times for peak, evenings w/end etc is handled by your dialler.
  • Look I'm really sorry I've caused all this hassle but this is so far too technical for me. All I want to do is save money and get the cheaperst phone calls for each possible number I ring.

Tomorrow the CPS on my line changes to Just Dial - I have not reverted back to BT.

I plan to use the following companies, if anyone knows better, please let me know.

    01/02 numbers - peak - Call 1899
    off peak - JustDial
    0845 - peak - Dialaround
    off peak - BT
    0870 - peak - 18185
    off peak - BT
    Mobiles - peak Call1899
    off peak - 18185

0800 - surely if I dial 0800 no matter what time of day it is it will be free???

Directory Enquiries - is there a cheapest/free way to dial these???

Give me the aspirin - my head is thumping!

    0800 0192 190

    Paracetemol is safer.
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

:) I was asking for website for cheap 0870 (Dialaround)

And my other was on a minute by minute basis - there is obviously a cost incurred on each supplier e.g. 4p connect & 4p per min compared to 20p fixed - cheaper until 4 1/2 mins

So... if you're planning a long chat to mates use 20p service .... if its quick call best using 4p service....

I realise you can't program dialler for that but at least then I could pick the one which covered most usual pattern

Does anybody know the time for the free calls with Just-Dial? I;ve just ordered my orchard dialer and need to know when to switch over from 1899

For Dialaround...try google...or post 417 above!! [to save you looking up it's.......https://www.dialaround.co.uk. Its best for 0845 peak and not 0870.]

If there is a particular mobile number or numbers that you regularly dial that are usually long calls ...you can get Orchid to put that number in the routing drop down list and set the dialler accordingly - you could then have all mobiles to say 1899 except that one to JD (to take advantage of capped rates)

    <<<<BOOOOM!!!>>>>

Sorry that was my head exploding ;)

OK, so just to be sure..... I program in the number off Dialaround for 0845 UK numbers as a carrier and set it to dial this before 0845 numbers at peak times ..... other times route through BT. Is there anything similar for 0870 or are BT always cheapest there?

If I put a mobile number in the routing side I can then pick which this uses over-riding the normal routing for mobiles?

How does dialler decide which routing to use if 2 match - the one with the most digits matching wins?? i.e. 07 routing and 0771137 routing say, then 07711371111 routes to second and any other routes to first?

If I put a mobile number in the routing side I can then pick which this uses over-riding the normal routing for mobiles? Easiest way is to call/e-mail Orchid with the specific number you want included in the "routing" drop down lists.

Good luck - it's well worth persevering!!
