I can never imagine getting up each day and NOT showering or washing my hair! Whole family do the same plus a shower in the evening during summer. Suppose it's because we've done this for the past 20 years + that we wouldn't not do it. My hairdresser also says that you should wash your hair every day to get rid of everyday dirt in the air.
  • I thought washing your hair daily would get rid of the natural oils needed to maintain healthy hair:confused: My niece is a hair consultant for a top hairdressers and she recommends 2-3 times a week hair washing maximum.

I shower every second day but after reading this thread I feel dirty lol.

I only wash my hair every 2 days. If I have a shower in between my hair goes funny. I do have a strip wash inbetween showers.

My husband and daughter shower every day. I don't feel the need especially. I'm not sweaty and i've never heard any of my family comment that I stink. Believe me, they would if I did! My mum once told me that even though I was fat I didn't smell. She thought that was a compliment.

:rotfl: I'm sorry but that really did make me lol - I'll have my husband grumbling tomorrow that I woke him up with my noise. :rotfl:

I love the way people say things and dont realise that they could actually be upsetting people.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Similar thing here. If anyone here has ever been to one of those summer festival like Glastonbury or Reading they will know the 'joys' of not bathing for ages and going in stinky wash rooms. Yuk!!

Whenever my husband or sons went to T in The Park i'd pack them loo rolls, baby wipes and individual sachets of deoderant wipes. The wipes would all come back unopened and the rest of the lads would fight them for the loo roll. One year it was so muddy my son went to the first aid tent and got them to cut off his trousers at the knees cos they were dirty. :D
