Blimey Steel that bill is a bit steep to say the least! Is that JUST gas you’ve got leccy on top? I’m dreading our bill which must be due soon, last winter was a biggy and despite pledges to turn the heat down etc I’m thinking this one will be a biggie too!
My mince that I put in the sc produced enough food for 7 meals for us (me, OH & 2 kids)! That came from 750g lean mince on offer from Mr T which cost £3.33!:T I added lentils, stuffing mix & soya mince and a stock cube so I reckon its about 50p a portion! Not quite Weezl standards but probably the best I've ever managed!! I'll then turn it into cottage pie, spah bol, chilli etc!0 -
Evening all
NVQ person didn't bother to turn up, still I was so busy it didn't matter,
Pippa, blinkers? I doubt they've anything I haven't seen before, probably bigger & better too, lol.
WS, my DD teaches her babies Makaton, she learnt it at college & they seem to master it easily, even I've mastered the important bits in case they use them on me. Oh and you'll have nerves of steel by the time LB is 14, either that or you'll have lost your marbles like I have. My car could find it's own way to A & E with my lot.
Hubby's family are yet again in crisis, I post all the gory details on my blog tomorrow.
Have a good evening everone.
Hugs Hester

Yep....we're paying the estimated bill now and are saving up an overpayment every month for the rest when the next bill comes in, so the lower I can get the bills over the next three months the better.
NoahsPennilessMummy - I think men always have little fantasies about the wedding night, but in reality most brides run themselves ragged in the lead up and need their kip. I remember thinking how lovely and soft the hotel bed pillows were and the next thing it was 8:30 am the morning after!!!
csarina - the potato bed is one of my jobs this weekend too. Really excited that growing season has begun :j
As i was up early, i'm being a lightweight and going to bed now.
Night Night, meet you back here tomorrow"carpe that diem"0 -
Hugs to all.
I am dreading my power bill. The heating seems to have been on so much in January, as little bear had some really spectacular green noses.
Well, I have pulled almost everything out of the freezer, there is a small mound of meat defrosting, a slightly larger mound of home made goodies going to waste and a really good excuse to get rid of some rubbish (the cardboard on the 'breaded turkey products' was soggy and falling apart - think that had been defrosted)
I've checked my stocks of veg and I have a few onions, some bendy cerlery and some rather limp leeks. I shall investigate whether the local shops have additional onions or not, but what I plan to do is freeze relatively small portions of the concoctions as I always like to add something fresh anyway, and label well in the newly emptied boxes  so that I know that I need to add.
And now the tattered remains of the budget are going to be completely blown as I stock up on one or two extra bits, but fortunately not too much more.
I doubt I will have the courage to go to town tomorrow, and I am expecting parcels, which is a bit of a get out clause, but I still plan to play in the street with little bear for at least a while and try and wear him out.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
