It's turned into a lovely sunny day here. Still too cold for the chickens though who poked their heads out of the coop, felt how cold it was then turned round and stayed inside.
First writing session done and on second cup of tea now. As I have leftover gravy from the beef stew last night, decided to make a soup for lunch with home grown leeks and some suspect veg at the bottom of the fridge.
Found two slices of HM bread that hubby cut for himself last night and then left on the side to go stale overnight (why? ) so will toast those for breakfast."carpe that diem"0 -

Morning all
Hugs to everyone who needs one.
Haven't read the rest of yesterdays thread yet but WS bumps on the head are a regular event with little ones, I hope you aren't stressing too much about it? My eldest fell all the way down the stairs when she was two, Daddy had taken the washing upstairs and forgotten to close the stair gate, she followed him up and he hadn't noticed! I rushed her straight to the hospital and got very reassured by a lovely old doctor who told me that babies were designed to bounce
Still full of this awful cold, I hope it has gone a bit by tomorrow when I have an interview for a job that I really want. I'll take a peek at the jobcentre website and see if there is anything else going.
I'm not going to attempt much today although I have loaded the DW and set it going, must get some washing done and use up some chicken breasts I have in the fridge.0 -

Morning!
((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) to anybody who needs one. I've been slightly less busy so far this week, but been a bit down in the dumps so haven't been on here much. I've got nothing to feel down about, although I know it doesn't always work like that, but I guess at the moment I feel a bit lonely. Compared to what people on here are going through I feel like a loser for even telling you this, but I just wanted to let you know what's happening with me.
But some good news..... I'm in the musical at the Rose Theatre!!!:j Really chuffed - not sure what part I have yet, they don't tell you until rehearsals start, but it's work experience in a professional theatre which will look good on the old CV. Just need to make sure work can give me time off for rehearsals. 'Eleemosynary' is going well, it's on next Wednesday for three nights so very excited but starting to get a little bit nervous!
Plans for today - singing practice, might do a bit of fruit and veg shopping because I'm running low on them, finish off the HM soup, make some beef stew in the SC, tidy my room, carry on practicing my lines, go into work and sort out my hours, go shopping for costume for 'Eleemosynary', dance class, rehearsals... All in all quite a busy day!!
Hopefully I'll get chance to come on here this evening and catch up with everyone

Morning all,
I have 2 piles of ironing so might do that later whilst catching up with Candleford. DH offered to peel the pots for dinner for 4, I'm doing a beef bourg, broccoli and cauli. Will cook a sponge and serve with jam and custard. Defrosted apples for the apple cake.
I'll take dinners to DD and see what needs doing, will swish around and vacume if DGD is awake. DSiL2b swept the kitchen but he must be under the impression they live in a lighthouse as he didn't notice the corners, Bless.
I need to do that here as well. The place has been on the back burner for a while but as my DM is arriving on Sat I must blitz the place.
I need to get Martin's advice as to where to start a trust fund for DGD, it's a bit iffey in this economic climate but must start one soon.
Lots of (((((((((hugs))))))))) to all in need.0 -

Good morning all,
replaced some of our old dodgy mugs the other day and got some nice big bone china ones. So enjoying a large mug of tea. Glooomy here so having a good sit with the lamp...and enjoying catching up on the 'pooter at the same time.
have a ham hock out of the freezer, peas in soak, so will be creative with that later on. You've heard of rubber chicken, so now follows Rubber Ham Hock! Recipe ideas welcome! Very OS.
Maybe will get reacquainted with my vacuum cleaner today.
Lots of other c*@p to sort, but what I would really like to do is some sewing.
Hope you all have a great day.
