The only thing I would advise is avoid Blackpool Central. Take a look on the poor reviews on Trip Advisor, they are not far off the money. It's a dreadful place. How anyone could write a decent review about that place beats me.0

Which of the Manchester central travelodges do people rate as the better ones? I'm looking to book one next April whilst sale rates on but travelling on my own so wary at night.
The reviews on TA seem to rate the arena one but is that area safe?
Thanks in advance for any replies:)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I've not stayed in the Arena one (is it new ?).
The 'Manchester Central' one (in Blackfriars Street) is well located right in the centre of Manchester, but a bit run down last time we were there - neither of the lifts was working for part of our stay and we were on the 7th floor! Luckily we were only there for one night so had minimal luggage, and they did fix them before we left.
If you're nervous going out at night, note that whenever I've stayed in central Manchester overnight there have always been loads of black cabs around that you can flag down.0 -
Hello,
Has anyone stayed at the London Central Tower Bridge Travelodge before, if so what's it like?
Thanks x0 -

Well impressed. Newish TL, close to underground. Good pub with food and beer garden next door (The Minories) and Wetherspoons 60 yards away. Obviously very close to the Tower and the new trendy area with cafes and shops by the river. Walking distance to Brick Lane.

Thanks very much Terryw for your help, that is a great response and reassuring.0

Derby Pride Park looked good from the outside and the public areas were nice. Shame the shower was hanging off and the bed hadn't been made properly with the sheet having holes in as well. They have sent me a £20 voucher after I emailed them photos and a complaint though.0

My Hubby and I travel around a lot and have stayed in quiet a few travelodges Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Leeds etc and have had good rooms in all of them clean and well stocked.
The worst one we've ever had to stay in was the Grafton, Hereford cold damp room, bathroom wasnt that clean, dingy travelcot etc, Didnt help that we were moving house and didnt get the keys till the next morning and it was bitter cold outside, I ended up going to the car and getting extra bedding for us and the dog its was that cold and our LO was in with us all night, We complained and got nowhere, Just looking at one now up at scotch corner for out next move fingers crossed its ok and they give me a room near the reception as we will have the dog with us again.0
