Technically this is not free, as it requires you to sign up to a paid service to get it.

what level of Sky broadband is everyone using? We are on the net a lot but don't download much...
  • i rang up tonight and i was offered a free phone line installed with the offer which is currently on i am going to take them up on it too
  • At last its let me order, before it said the offer had expired, just for the record it didnt reconise my bank account (i pay for my dads sky). So next Saturday is the big day!!
I wonder though, is the catch the cost of the Broadband the only broadband product it would let me order was £17 per month on top of the tv (£16.50) sky talk and line rental (£10) so i declined the broadband and it still went through, ill order it later as an add on when the phone account has started it should be free then at least thats the offer on the broadband main page (sky base).
    thanks everyone
  • Hi,am new to MSE site and thought "what a great deal"Sky are doing.Until i phoned them up 2nite! I understand that even though i have an existing cable phone line i could just switch over to a Sky landline at no extra cost and was even more incouraged when i read xkirstyellenx #147 to say she also got free phone installed as well. Then i spoke to one of the most rudest people that Sky employ who i had to talk him thru the link for about 20 mins as he could'nt find the deal only then to be told"not a chance"unless i pay an extra £9.75 per month.Which i then get another box installed in another room in the house, which i dont want.He could'nt help me then hung up.Think i will stick with Virgin Cable!Never bin with Sky b4,i wonder why?
  • Just thought I would let you know that we have successfully signed up for this deal too. I am an existing Sky customer, and cancelled my subscription as soon as I saw this offer, only to be offered a Sky+ box for £15 plus £30 for installation. I declined the offer and cancelled. On Saturday my hubby signed up for this offer an we are having it fitted on Tuesday (tomorrow)!! We went through the log in pages on the link with no probs whatsoever!
Can't wait now for tomorrow - woo hoo.:j
    Thanks MSE

Got mine installed on Sunday! Works like a treat :)

Does anyone know at what point we get our vouchers??
    Ta
  • What did you do to get it free ?
Told sky that since I was using BT broadband I could get their BT Vision box for free, so give me a sky+ box free please!
  • I was trying to take advantage of the HD+ box for £49, but as a current Sky customer, I can't have it  I live in a house full of males who dominate Sky, I want my own; its not too much to ask seeing as how our original sky+ thing cost us close to £400 and we have the full package which costs around £55 per month. For the initial cost of £49 for the box, we were prepared to pay an extra £19-50 a month (£9-75 x2 per month HD and multi-room) but they wont entertain it. BAH! Currently in e-mail contact with Sky but I won't hold my breath

Success! Due to an over enthusiastic sales person erroneously causing a load of grief by switching our 'phone package without our permission, many many phone calls and hassle later, today I got a call from what sounded like Senior Customer Service offering us the Sky HD+ box at the advertised £49, free fitting, by way of an apology for the trouble they had caused us. We are still paying through the nose but its a choice and we got what we wanted in the end :) Daft thing is, Id have been happy with just a Sky+ box, not bothered about HD. Anyway theyre coming to do it on Thurs and Im dead chuffed :D
