My Sky+ box was installed right on time last Saturday. I am very happy with the deal and service, and thank MSE again for bringing it to my attention.

My box was installed last week, we are really pleased with it. Just one thing, I have not set up a direct debit mandate online, opted by post, and they haven't sent anything yet. Presume they will want payments, like I want my vouchers. Does any one know when I will hear something?0

Well i have just rang up about taking up a new package as a new customer. I live with my parents and have a sky + box which is about 18months old which i bought for multiroom. They have told me that the only way i can get sky + when i move out is to pay £100 for the box then £30 for installation - even though i have a sky + box which works fine and i want to take out the full package. Madness!0

Well I have just called up sly oops typo I mean Sky and they wont offer me anything. £45 for a sky+ box so I cancelled. Don't know if I have done the right thing yet.
Also I am aware that this deal is out of date, just thought I would let you guys know,.0 -
Rung up Sky and used the info found on here. Told them I was thinking of either switching to Virgin or getting a free-view box, after being with them for five years.
Was first offered a discount, which I declined. I Asked if there was any chance of a sky+ box instead, seeing as they are offering them at such a good deal to new customers or referrals.
After about five minutes was offered a new sky+ box for £15, with free installation if I renewed for 18 months.
The tech came and installed four days later, Sunday morning at 07:30hrs.
Thanks to the people who posted the tips, wouldn'y have got it otherwise. Stayed calm and friendly to the guy at sky and I think it helped rather than ranting over what I wanted.
Cheers!! :beer:0 -
We got a great deal today, we signed up (new customers) because in our area (westcountry) they are currently offering free Sky+ box with free installation, we also chose to go with them for line rental (as BT are increasing cost of theirs) and Mid broadband package...however after signing up online I gave them a ring saying I had changed my mind and wanted to cancel .. we only went with Sky as the line rental is cheaper but can't really justify paying out for the TV package just to have cheaper line rental SO the nice lady on the phone is giving us FREE line rental for 12 months too! :T Hooray! So will just be paying £16.50 for TV package and £5 for broadband = £21.50 a month instead of £31.50 a month with free box and install0

We've been with sky for 5 years and today hubby rang up and got a reduced packaged which I am really annoyed about as I would have loved to have had sky plus. Even showed him the threads on here about the great deals some of you guys have had...Would he listen??? NO:mad:
As this was a down grade would you think it would be too late now to ask for a reduced rate sky plus offer?0
