Anyone know of a way to get cheap Sky Movies added to Entertainment pack rather than the prices quoted online?
I saw an advert over xmas that i think mentioned a movies pack (5 channels) for about a fiver?0 -
My husband is an existing account holder and we've been wanting Sky+ for ages. We tried unsuccessfully during the quickly cancelled free box offer but thought we'd have another go with me registering for a new Sky account in my name with my bank account and it worked!!!:j
There seems no link on the address which makes sense as the house could be house shared or something. It might help that my surname is slightly different to DH's.
We've also saved £2 per month coz we didn't really watch the new or children's packages! DH will cancel his account with Sky tonight when it's quieter.:T
I agree that they really are pants at taking care of existing customers but what can else can non-cable area rural living bods who want film channels and premium sport do? It goes with the 512kbps broadband speed too.
We had our £30 installation, free sky+ and £50 voucher deal package installed on Saturday by a very nice engineer and I'm madly recording everything so it DOES work to cancel your spouse's subscription and to subscribe through this offer. I foresee a battle for the vouchers though so have taken the opportunity to take screen prints of their website offering the vouchers!0 -

Trouble is that you can only get the free Sky broadband if you pay line rental to Sky I think, which means I have to give up my cheap '18185'! Just free weekend calls are not going to do it in a household with three teenagers!
Is there a way around that?0 -
I've been reading the above posts and was quite tempted to just sign up for the latest sky+ box deal in my hubby's name and then cancel my current subscription with them.
But, it didn't sit well with me to do that as I kept thinking somewhere down the line I would come unstuck!! lol
Anyway, I rang them up to say I couldn't afford the £21.80 a month and the very nice man said I could reduce my package! mmmm not what I wanted!
So then I said I had been a loyal customer for over 5 years now and isn't there any current deals like the one they are offering new customers of a sky+ box for £30.
So then he offered me the sky+ for £15 plus £30 installation and brought my sub down to £17.50 a month which suited me fine!
They are coming on Sunday to fit it.....Yeeaaaaah!! lolIst Win: 1 week's bed, breakfast and evening meal in Hotel in Blackpool!! :j0 -
I've just had an e-mailform offer (which I can refuse!) for a free Sky+ box and free installation...:-)

Phone up to say that you are thinking of leaving Sky as you are never in to watch it so it’s a waste of time. Tell them that you use just use the internet to catch up with anything you’ve missed.
They’ll then try and persuade you to stay (have you heard of Sky+ etc) - plead poverty and say that the box is too expensive and you can’t afford the installation fee. They’ll then reduce the price - you still insist that you are too skint too afford it and they will eventually offer you a free box and installation. It worked for me about 6 months ago and it’s been great! You’ll still have to pay the monthly sub if you don’t have one of the more expensive packages though.D'oh :whistle:0 -
I recommended a friend to Sky in Nov 08, i only received the vouchers in Feb 09. It was a complete nightmare, you are just passed from department to department, in the end i reported Sky to the Advertisting Standards Authority and the vouchers were sent out the day the ASA contacted them. They were very helpful have a look on there webiste.0

The info I rec'd said the vouchers will be sent after the first dd is taken - it doesn't say how long after, however"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper
