    for those wanting sky plus it does save you money, the offer is for new customers and as you say your already an existing customer.
  • My dearest is or was a customer. I joined sky to receive the free sky+ box same address and telephone number but different accounts. She has now cancelled. Ordered tuesday installed saturday, no complaints so far. From reading previous posts though not holding my breathe on the M&S vouchers

    Sky called about 1/2 hour ago to confirm install tomorrow :)

    All installed and up and running :j

    Absolutely no problems whatsoever so far - hopefully the vouchers will be the same :D

    Phamer - there is a thread for Sky referrals already, somewhere on the site - you should post there :)

    I was trying this using my parents details, who are NOT registered with, or ever been SKY customers. Yet it still waited until the very end of the process to tell me that there was a problem - call me a cynic, BUT that time, they have all my parent's personal details, plus a bit more too...........

    So far I have a very good response from MSE in terms of contacting me to say that they intend to try and resolve it, so who knows, perhaps someone in the bowels of SKY's basement might flick a switch and then all the customer service reps will realise that this advert is on the MSE website and that people like me and others are not talking rubbish.

    i ordered sunday night, and its being installed on thursday morn between 8am and 1pm.
    no problems so far.

  • UPDATE WITH GREAT NEWS....................

    A very nice lady from SKY rang me this afternoon to resolve this problem about not being able to get the SKY+ box AND the £50-00 MS Vouchers where the customer pays £30-00 installation with ONE yrs subscription depending on what mixes you take.........................

    Seems that if SKY have an e-mail address for you, then the system will not accept your order. It possibly thinks you're an old customer trying to get a deal offered only to new customers.

    I did this as I say for my parents who do not have e-mail, so used mine in the e-mail field on the order pages.

    If you do this, make sure you get an e-mail address that is NOT known to SKY and then try it.

    Thanks to MSE for their help - notably Archna, and again to the lady from SKY called Victoria who actually spoke sense, and had a proper telephone number. How much is that number worth then?

    The installation date is Friday this week, so that should be the end of my thread here.

  • Although I'm an existing customer of 12 years I thought I'd try filling the online form in to open a new account, it let me do it no probs last thursday my new sky card came on saturday & the engineer came & fitted a new dish , cable & box today no probs and even ran me a lead into one of the kids rooms so I can use my old box as freeview, I'm going to cancel my old account tommorrow & enjoy the new sky + account, if the vouchers turn up that'll be a bonus I suppose.

  • ordered Sunday night. Installed today. Very pleased so far, just hope there is no problems receiving the vouchers.
