  • Thanks for your reply.

I got to the last page, having provided all the info they needed about bank accounts etc and even selected an installation date for Monday morning - so to get to the last to page where it then says, "there's a provlem, call us" ONLY for the two options to be for either EXISTING CUSTOMERS, or RETURNING CUSTOMERS and nothing for new customers, or any sensible options was just beyond. Especially when I spke to a number of staff who all stated they could NOT help me, and I needed to phone other departments, and gave me other 0844 or 0870 numbers to ring.

Thanks - I am watching this one to see if anyone can confirm that they did it, and got some sense out of the operators.

Perhaps if someone posted the correct key options to press, I might get the same person and then my parents will have SKY..................
  • Hi everyone

you pay for installation and the first months subscription too.

i have a code for free sky plus and free installation too if anyones interested? you go to the sky website and put the code in where it says offer code in the top right hand corner. http://packages.sky.com/buy/?CMP=KNC-UKesalesSearch
(you get free sky plus and free installation - "but no m and s vouchers") its upto you what you prefer but id rather have free installation and no vouchers.

Is there also a deal where my mum can refer me as a new customer (she has SKy, I don't) and we both get vouchers? If so, which deal is better?

no deal where you both get vouchers - theres a deal where she gets vouchers or a free sky plus box - and you get a free sky plus box and pay £30 installation and you get no vouchers - sky recomend a friend http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/mysky/introduceafriend?CMP=KNC-UKesalesSearch?CMP=KNC-UKesalesSearch

so if she also wants a sky plus box this is the best deal for you both - otherwise you can go for the deal here where you get a free sky plus box, and £50 m and s vouchers but pay £30 install.

or i have a code for free sky plus box, and free installation (saving you £30) but you get no vouchers.so it depends if you prefer free fitting saving £30, or free £50 vouchers.the offer code is SALE790074914602

obviously you gain £20 by opting for vouchers, but will you have to chase them up etc for the vouchers?

I wouldn't mind switching over my broadband for the £16.50 monthly all inclusive fee but I actually resent having to pay for tv! so I'd actually be paying £16.50 a month for the use of the Sky + box and the choice of too many rubbish channels that I'll never watch! ;-) (I use Freesat at the moment.)

    Have I got this right??!

  • I have been having problems with my aerial, so when I saw this offer it seemed perfect for me. I have never dealt with Sky before but have read much about their customer services, and not all good!
I did all the details online and was then given a phone number to ring to arrange installation. The woman I spoke to could not have been more helpful. She even told me when I would get the M & S vouchers before I even mentioned them.
Anyway, it will be installed next Saturday, so I hope that goes as well as the ordering did.
Thanks MSE for showing me this deal.

Isn't this Just another cynical ploy to get around Money Savers, who they know have rumbled them.

Has no-one seen the ongoing catalogue of disasters with this company, reported in this 29 Page ! Thread (including the original) ?
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=711597

All Credit to MSE for arranging it, but this company is adept at spotting suckers for a bargain and have they just discovered a new and untapped revenue stream ?
