I didn't get an email from them saying anything about vouchers when I switched to Scottish power - however, I didn't know I should have got one so didn't query it. As I've been with SP for a couple ofmonths now I just emailed SimplySwitch to ask where my vouchers were, to be told that I hadn't gone through the MSE link but had gone direct to their website so wasn't entitled. However, as I'd never heard of them until I used the MSE link I don't understand how they arrive at that conclusion. I'm disgusted with them.
  • I am about to go into battle with SimplySwitch over this issue, having followed its procedures.

If I get nowhere I shall threaten the utility company with cancellation on the basis that in the absence of this incentive I would not have switched. It feels as though this kind of game is the 21st centuary incarnation of the door step selling of utility companies.

I don't think you are in any position to threaten the utility company, isn't this two distinct contracts?

My "threat" isn't a legal one. Its simply this: you have a relationship with a company that doesn't honour its obligations to me. If you are disinterested in helping it do the right thing I'll dump you and go elsewhere.

Nothing to do with contract law, just common sense

After the minimum period, probably a year, (as per your contract).

  • I'm also waiting on the Simplyswitch vouchers 6 months down the line. They have replied to our emails saying they are on the way a couple of times, but still now sign. they say they try and send them out within 3 months, so hitting the 6 month point with nothing arriving is disappointing. anyone else still waiting?
    cheers

Switched 1st Sept, am still waiting too. Just sent an email ....
  • I didn't receive any confirmation email either, despite making a point of visiting via MSE. Waiting to see if they will try and wriggle out of sending the vouchers.

I have not received any a year after arranging the switch and 11 months after changing suppliers.
    Have just emailed them.
  • I too am nearly 180 days from switching and no vouchers
Email replies from Fiona saying delays are due to the Christmas rush and saying if I want to escalate contact their complaints department
I really think Martin should remove the link to Simplyswitch they are absolute rogues who I believe try to bilk their customers and only pay up when they have been harrassed
