Hi all,
Please can you PM me with your details (eg name, postcode) if you're having problems getting your vouchers and I will chase it up with SimplySwitch. Just to clarify you have to have gone through the MSE links to get the offer, go direct and it offers a different deal.
Thanks
MSE Archna0 -
Here is the original email showing that I went through your website to qualify for the vouchers
Note that there are multiple statements below designed to stall you concerning applying for the vouchers.
"You will need this email at a later stage"
"You will be able to choose your voucher once you are ready to claim you voucher"
"Remember your switch needs to be live before you make your claim"
"Don’t worry we already have your details this is just to confirm that the switch has taken place"
Not this needs to be entered within 60 days !!
Where does it remind you that your timed out after 60 days ?? nowhere !! I've got my one and only email from them and can assure you that there is not a single mention anywhere.

Thank You for choosing SimplySwitch to switch your Energy Provider. As you have used our site via the moneysavingexpert.com you will be eligible for the voucher offer; £35 Dual Fuel or £15 Single Fuel. You will be able to choose your voucher once you are ready to claim you voucher.
So what do you need to do now?
While your transfer is taking place you don’t need to do anything we’ll do this part for you. Once your supply has taken place use the link below and fill in your details to claim your voucher. Don’t worry we already have your details this is just to confirm that the switch has taken place.
Claim at: LINK TO FILL IN FORM

I am currently in a debate with Simply Switch myself regarding the £35 Amazon Vouchers.
Apparently you have to apply for your vouchers after your supply has gone live, AND 60 days after your application date. However, my supply didnt go live until after 63 days of my application date, therefore there was never an opportunity for me to claim my vouchers in accrodance with the terms and conditions.
I'll let you know what the outcome is.
Regards,
Neil
Hi, I addressed this issue in the other thread you posted in asking the same question:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2237749
Specifically:Vouchers must be claimed after your supply has gone live with your new supplier and within 60 days of your application date. If your supply is delayed from the normal 4 – 6 weeks you must inform us so you don’t miss out due to a delay in the supply going live
...
If you do not claim your voucher with the set time scale you will not receive your voucher"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
The one and only email that I received in relation to the above vouchers has no link whatsoever to the terms and conditions to wisen you up to the 60 day limit on claiming the vouchers.
Can you tell me how you arrived at the link above for the terms and conditions ??
Do you not agree that there should be a link from the email sent to me directing me to the terms and conditions to remind me that there is a 60 day period to claim them. It is obvious that countless people will fall foul of the time period if they are not given the full information.
I could understand it if I was claiming vouchers 9 months later or a year later but surely to offer vouchers in conjunction with changing electricity/gas supplier it cannot be regarded as unrreasonable to be chasing up why the vouchers have not arrived 3 months later.
The email warned that the vouchers might take 90 days to arrive and specifically tells you not to claim them till a later date.

You have to go via the MSE link. That is the only way you are entitled to the vouchers.
When you go via the link, you see the link to the terms & conditions towards the bottom of that page."Now to trolling as a concept. .... It looks as if I've fallen for Simply Switch's con as well .... I switched supplier for Gas & Electric and on that day that I switched online I received an email from Simply Switch that clearly tells you that there is no need to apply for the vouchers for many weeks as the below copy and paste from the email says...
"So what do you need to do now? While your transfer is taking place you don’t need to do anything we’ll do this part for you. Once your supply has taken place use the link below and fill in your details to claim your voucher. Don’t worry we already have your details this is just to confirm that the switch has taken place."
I have had no contact other than this email ( no reminder to apply ) ( no mention of the 60 days anywhere in the email - which is the critical part and what I call the con ).
The form to fill in appears on a link in the email - as you need your account number for the form ( account number with the new supplier ) you are completely disabled from filling in the form and the clock is ticking on the 60 days unbeknown to me at the time.
Where are the terms and conditions with regards the vouchers ?
The only email I received from them has no link to terms & conditions whatsoever - clicking on a link on the email takes you to simply's website and the form to claim the vouchers where at the bottom the terms & conditions appear - these mention nothing about 60 days etc
What can I do about this as I feel absolutely cheated !!
I rang simply switch's customer service and have ben told that they will look into it but how many more people will get conned by this rediculous policy of sending you a one and only email on the day you switch - giving a clear instruction to wait until the new energy supplier is in place along with the lack of an account number which only arrives with the first bill sent out from the new supplier rendering most people unable to claim inside the 60 day period anyway?

Hi Dave,
I have an update! Since posting on this thread, I have chased Simply Switch and called their bluff. Taking advice from a similar thread on MSE, I complained by email and asked for a postal address so that i could inform them of my legal action in writing! Needless to say, they didnt want a courtcase (hmm would I have taken it that far??!) Therefore, as a good will gesture, the management allowed me to apply for my vouchers using a different application date! I have now applied and had confirmation. Whether I do eventually get the vouchers is a different matter as I have also read people are having problems recieving these vouchers after they have successfully applied, but hey, that's another battle i'll look forward to fighting.
Hope this Helps, Good Luck.

Just to let people on this thread know I have had no problems getting my amazon vouchers.
Applied on 21st Feb for a dual fuel switch, filled in the voucher request form a month later and got my voucher today after a simple polite chaser email.
Credited to my Amazon account no problem. Only thing I would say is check your spam emails as it might end up in there!0 -
I sent out a stroppy email to Customer Services at Simply Switch yesterday, having heard nothing from them for several months. I got a response back within three hours advising me that the delay was due to a problem with ordering the vouchers from Amazon. They went on to say that I had applied for the voucher on the 31/3/2010 and that their terms and conditions stated that there could be delays in sending out the vouchers. However the email went on to say that due to this delay they would obtain a voucher code and would send it to me by email. Three minutes later an email arrived with an Amazon voucher code for £35 included! Quite amazing.0

Every Amazon 'voucher' I've ever known is simply a code.
What would be the purpose of a voucher in the traditional paper sense for an online only retailer???
Edit: For the avoidance of doubt, I didn't mean to suggest that the poster was spouting b.s. (should anyone read it that way), but rather that the poster was receiving b.s. from Simply Switch"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
