Simply Switch problems - £35 Amazon Voucher

Yes they can keep any commission they earn.
Their only requirement is to pay you whatever they said if, and only if, you conform to their terms & conditions. What they receive from the supplier is irrelevant.
If you don't like their terms & conditions, don't use them.
I (for one) won't again.
Also, conforming to a company's T&Cs is not always the only requirement to get what you are entitled to, they are responsible for conforming to the laws of the country.
Even if they have done that, when MSE recommends something, there was* a fair amount of trust that they were not recommending an entity that employs tactics (legal or not) loaded against you.
* past tense very much intentionalToyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
I am having the same problems as everyone else. I claimed on 5th May and I'm getting the same response as others that it is due to a problem with Amazon. Hopefully the vouchers will eventually come. Does anyone know whether there is anyone who
you can officially complain to - Ofgas or an ombudsman or something ?0 -
I too am having the same problems.
I have emailed twice already; 3 weeks ago being told they are ordering the vouchers and would be sent when they arrived (what, an Amazon code???!)
So I have emailed again today. If I get no luck, would ASA help too (Falsely advertising something??)
Oh, and as typing this, I have just had an out of office reply from SimplySwitch....0 -
Amazing. Had an email back saying the order had only arrived this morning and the voucher would be with me by the end of today. It was and banked it quick!0

To get what you're entitled to, it seems you have to harass them on a daily basis, which isnt pleasant.0 -
I'm still awaiting my vouchers too. I've emailed a few times and am currently getting the 'we are waiting for vouchers' line all the time.
Strange how they seem to have had vouchers to send out to some people and yet not others.....0 -
Ditto.
My energy transfer took place 1 June.
I emailed two weeks ago to ask about my voucher and was told they had a backlog and orders had been delayed but that I should expect my voucher within two weeks.
Still no sign of it. I'll probably keep emailing them until I get a result like the poster earlier.0 -
Well finally received my voucher on Monday.0

Just entering into this debacle with them over a missing Amazon voucher. Went through them a few years ago when I was with British Gas and ended up swapping to a new British Gas tariff through them. Then when I waited for the voucher and the time had long passed, contacted them and was told that I wasn’t allowed one because I hadn’t switched companies.
So in May this year when I switched again from British Gas to Scottish Power, I followed everything to the letter, going through the MSE link, waiting for the switch to take place, claiming within 60 days, waiting the 6 weeks and then the 90 day mark to pass and still nothing.
Just e-mailed them now asking them to explain.0 -
Just a note all. I FINALLY received my Amazon Vouchers! Now, just how to spend them...0
