Many thanks ArsenalFC. The seller is actually my son but is not a registered member on MSE. The matter will be resolved one way or the other I'm sure.

If you had read all the posts on the other thread you would see the errors were corrected and an apology made! There are always going to be two sides to this story and I think we will have to agree to disagree. If you decide to take the matter further legally a decision will be made for us and we will both have to abide by it.

Yes, but only after you realised there was another thread about this, detailing the whole scenrio.

Glad to be of service entertaining you all! I think you may be dis-appointed though. I have have acted in good faith and will trust the relevant facts will speak for themselves if it goes to the small claims court although my solicitor says he would expect the case to be thrown out.

Like arsenal said its probabl best if they deal with their issue in private for their own sakes which is a shame for us as it would be interesting.

It is interesting to get both sides of a story on MSE for once as I bet a lot of the posts on here also have two sides.

    Good luck ladies

I posted the intial thread on behalf of my son and before I knew you had opened your own thread. When he returned from work he corrected me and I posted the correct information and apologised. I apologise again directly to you this time.

omg this is like watching coronation street!

personally i dont think there is any point arguing about it on here as you clearly wont agree and if your taking it to small claims, (probably not worth it as would be difficult to prove and very stressful if these threads are anything to go by), then you are just giving one another ammunition!

good luck though sorting it out!

Really? Thats interesting as the reason your son has been saying he has been unable to resolve this, is because he has been away in Wales since the evening I bought the car, and not due back until Friday??

He came back early but it is irrelevant where he his as, contrary to what you say, he has attempted to resolve the matter almost daily with you by text, phone and email. He has not avoided the issue as many people would have done.

It is very unfortunate that this has tuned into this, but unfortunately I have not heard from your son since Monday, I had an email from your husband yesterday with the £80 offer, and no responses to any of the 2 emails sent today....
