Maybe you should READ te extract from the Road Traffic act, on what the issues they deem a car unroadworthy!! certainly not consumables like brakes!
If the Road Traffic Act did not consider a car with brakes that were not working un roadworthy then the Police would not be able to give you a fixed penalty for having faulty brakes or faulty tyres as tyres are consumerables. The fact of the matter is faulty brakes does make a car unroadworthy and if you drove with faulty brakes the police could quite rightly give you a fixed penalty or prosecute you.
There is no arguable that the brakes are THE MOST important item on a vehicle.
Anyway, why are you all still posting on this? The matter is closed, is it because you all want to still "have a go" for no other reason than personal entertainment, as it certainly has no constructive use.
There is clearly an issue with understanding re the original question and subsequent posts, and as such comments are being taken out of context, and twisted.
The issue has been resolved, so all posts now are purely to provoke a reaction.
You all have a lot to say about the car I am selling, if you are so sure you have understood the issues I was raising, buy my damn car, then do some research into "as described" ans "fit for road use!" etc and then come back to me!!! as you will then maybe understand.
I guess it is difficult to understand, I sought legal advice, I guess the seller did also, and the issues were resolved before I took it for an MOT. Take from that what you want.... If that is not entertaining enough for you all....BAD LUCK!
I just hope if ever in your own lives you come accross a problem, you have the balls to stick it out, rather than crumbling due to agressive, mis-imformed and unpleasant advice. In fact, do not even ask for advice unless from a board whos members are genuinely interested in helping, you may just as well go onto ebay Q&A as here, and get eaten alive.... Jeez have even had people members newly register JUST to post on this !!!! Mmmmm
So I reiterate.... matter is resolved. THREAD CLOSED no further advice needed.
(Unless of course you were using this thread as entertainment and to practice your KEYBOARD HERO skills, and therefore will not be able to let go and will persist in posting. Well shame on you if this is the case. Hope you get a life soon!! )0 -
