For the last 24 hours, everytime I use the access codes I get a recorded message sayin that due to capacity problems, the calls cannot be done

Here are some of the access codes by way of examples

0871 772 60 60 (Best Minutes)
0844 43998 98 (0844 calls)

My landline is with OneTel. I have been using access codes for some two years now and it is the 1st time I have come across this problem. I have not made any changes to my contract with one tel either

Any ideas?

I've just had my bill from the 1899 provider and have noticed that call charges have now increased to a 4p connection fee. Still cheaper than BT!

yep... but if u use it with a company like Swiftnet [sales on 0800 6191 999] (who are one of the few companies that still do mobile overrides if u r still lucky enough to be on Orange package permitting 0800's as freebie calls) who have NO minimum call charges & per second billing then the connection charge is a big fat 0p

shouldnt uk callchecker be updated?
its been saying that for at least 2 weeks

DiscountDial has not been working for days on the 1/2p 0844 prefix. Even the currently published number 0844 2009595 (supposed to be new to replace the 2009090 one) fails with an announcement about service not avail.

Any solid suggestions for a replacement 1/2p 0844 system for Germany, France, China?

How about using https://www.18185.co.uk for France and Germany,and https://www.dialwise.co.uk for China.
