That list isnt exactly accurate - my local Lloyds chemist had no idea what I was talking about. I found it easier to phone Boots pharmacy and quote the PIP no. given in my previous mail. That way they can look on their computer and you dont have to explain what you are talking about!!!!Ellie

I'm wearing mine today and I'm bleeding less, I've still got faint cramp, but don't feel the urge to reach for the painkillers. Thanks for recommending this.
Sometimes on the first day of my period I have to head to bed!0 -
The things we learn on here, thanks girls I shall have a good look at this!0

If you have a mirena fitted you shouldnt be getting heavy blood loss. How long have you had it for? I would see your GP if I were you.
The bumf that came with the Ladycare states that it should not be worn if:
You or your partner has a heart pacemaker of defibrillator
You or your partner has an insulin syringe driver

Well tried mine this month and made no difference to excrutiating pain at all
We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

I bought mine when Avon first did this offer - think it was early last year. When I first used it, I did feel a bit 'odd', sort of queasy and headachey. This did wear off and I was fine the second month. It definately helped ease the pain and I found I only needed to 'top up' with maybe the odd paracetemol, rather than dosing up with everything going!
I actually stopped using it as I wasn't sure whether it was causing me to have prolonged periods. On reflection, I don't think it could have been, as I'm now back to both prolonged and excruciating periods! I'd forgotten I had it until I noticed this thread, so think I'll give it another try next month."A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it." :wall:
