Beautiful but cold day here today.
2" of ice on the horses' water so they were pleased to see me equipped with hammer & bucket this morning.
We turned all the outside taps off before the freeze which saves problems but means doing a milkmaid style delivery.
The ponds weren't frozen ...... I guess the moving water must have kept them ice free...... so the frogs are happy.

Ruddy cold here -6 this morning and had ice on the inside of the car windscreen. Got to work on a high as squirted it with de-icer. Have got the lovely company from the I.O.W sending me a sample of their weed matting, so hoping its waiting for me at home as I was paid this week.

OH is off tomorrow but got the workshop to run and then hoping he'll help me outside but that depends what time the rugby is.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Special girl breaks the ice for me most days in the troughs. Plonk in with the foot if the ice is too thick for a muzzle.

It is bloody cold though. One of our feed room taps had some ice in it, the other ran fine, lol. Had to make feeds with boiled water today though.

I was thinking that you shouldn't have water still on out there when I read your last post! :(

    Hosepipe from indoors?

Roads were very dodgy today. Dry in most places, and then sudden stretches where water was standing or flowing across the road were big sheets of ice.

Problem is, i canT do the stop !!!!. If it were under a sink i would be ok, but its in a hole at the side of the road. To get to it i would have to lay on the road in a puddle. In the future we will have second stop !!!! put in just at the building it enters, but not yet:o
