Hate to be a killjoy Rummer, but I've found T&M and also Suttons to be carp. Can't remember which of the 2 it was I bought saffron crocus from, of 30 bulbs we only got 6 flowers (and they got pigeoned or slugged!).

Had other failures from T&M like the lace primulas which turned out to be boring purple ones after I had used so much precious energy (and cash for compost! ) looking after them... They only offered me a voucher for the cost of plantlets, it was short time scale too so didn't bother using it. I will never touch them again.

Oh they were just cheap flower seeds in the sale 29p per pack so I am not going to stress if they fail :D

I always get seeds from a variety of places and have had success and failures across the board.

Good Lord! How awful! Appalling, in fact

I never thought Osbourne House would be any blooming good...so I didn't go there! :rotfl:

Fond memories of Ventnor Botanic Gardens though. :)

Mind you, I don't "nick, " I borrow. Some of my 'borrowed' seeds from 2009/2010 are just coming up. I have an "aromatic shrub thing" from Lady Anne's garden (they must improve the labelling there!) and a rather nice cotoneaster from beside a public road in Exeter so far.

Oh, and some hawthorn, which I hope are special ones, but the labelling is sub-standard.:o

Two more pheasants today. :o Shot Monday, so they were very unlucky, missing the end of the season by a whisker....

....well, a short beak anyway! :D
