It was rhiwfield, not me, honest Miss! :p

I will try to get my seeds organised tomorrow. I now have the rubber gloves to tackle the chillies, then I'm finished. Believe me, having skimped on the gloves once, I'm not going to repeat the mistake again. action-smiley-015.gif

There are certain things one should never do after handling chilli seeds!

    That's a great bargain Alfie!

It's 3am and I'm mooning over seeds. That's a great link. I'm sorely tempted and will resist. I'm unable to find a justification ATM :)
  • Choille I will pm you, as i dont want to say on the thread...

well the African stayed another night:mad:, so he is in work today, so hopefully he will be going this afternoon, or at worst tomorrow..

Real hard frost here this morning.....i am sure they have forecasted snow for the weekend.

right off to have a gander at the link Davesnave....

-6c here this morning, but there's more Atlantic weather on the way.....

DW wants me shopping this morning. :( I will get around to seeds later. I tried to do some work on plants yesterday, but the compost was frozen into lumps! A local estate has been tidying an area of woodland, composed mainly of wild rhododendron and laurel, so I'd helped myself to some laurel seedlings......

I don't like laurel much, but I have a use for some down at you-know-who's end, and I'm blowed if I'm paying for anything there. I may need to cut it down again! :rotfl:

Ever feel blamed for everything? :o;):D

For once I'm not buying seeds, got enough for this year and we're not chitting spuds either, having a break this year after the blight got to the tubers. So not doing anything in garden atm.

Off to another auction tomorrow morning, 3 in 8 days, but now starting to list some of the items bought and prepare/research others. Just as well as we're a mite untidy
But you realise your limitations when even with wiki and google you dont really understand what a torsion balance is :( And listed an oak wood carving, but it took me a couple of hours to realize it was a top quality repro. I phoned the company to make sure it was resin and that the woodworm holes were from the medieval original. faithfully reproduced!!

DW did hand in her notice so hopefully this little venture will work

Blight spores will be killed off in the winter, I wouldn't worry about having a years break because of that.

Even if I didnt get all the rotten tubers? Not to worry, my back could do with a potato free year !

Should do, freezing kills the spores.

Just put your spuds in a different place if you want to grow them. I assure you they will be fine. I mean until you probably get blight again this year :D but that's because of new blight on the wind, not due to it over wintering in your garden.
