Here's my photo of one of the pair of parakeets we had on our feeders a week ago.

Green parakeet by ukmaggie45, on Flickr

OH got in touch with local RSPB person, and apparently there about 8 of them that go and feed on feeders put up by the public behind the Palm House in Sefton Park. But none of our neighbours had seen them here before.

Come to south east london, we have more parakeets than blue tits! and thats saying something. First pair spotted near me 12 years ago, now there are hundreds and hundreds. Very nice to look at but they do make a noise at roosting time.
    £160 for a humaine fox trap:eek::eek::eek:

going to ask around to borrow one....

Try your local animal rescue centre, my son worked at one (before they were made redundant and offered their jobs back on a voluntary basis!!) and they loaned for a donation of your choice, humane fox and squirrel traps.

Oooohhhh just had a look on ebay, they are lovely! None near me and we have never been to a car boot sale :o

Whilst I agree with others, you haven't lived until you've been to a boot fair, I'm not sure it's wise for you to go.........there are too many temptations.
Do you have a freecycle group near you? you'd be amazed what people give away.

Off to catch up on the several pages I've missed after not reading for a few days, it's not like the summer when you're all too busy outside to chat in here!

We can manage away as we have domestic animals most of whom are self sufficient :D If we go anywhere however we have a couple of friends who check in on them daily and family nearby should a difficult decision have to be made.

When I had my horse however on DIY going anywhere was a nightmare and I was lucky to get a day off let alone go on holiday, so I can't imagine what it must be like trying to organize care for lots of animals

Just checked and there is a HUGE car boot sale 3x a week within comfortable traveling distance, you are all a bad influence on me :rotfl:

The weather here is dreadful, really wet and stormy :( I would love to get out in the garden but it is just too wet for me (I know I'm a wimp :o).

Spoke to OH and he is going to help me clear the potting shed so it can be used fro it's original purpose instead of a general dumping ground :j. It is right next to the greenhouse and it would be great to have it sorted so I can work in it during the spring :D

  • Son is having a cabinet at one of the places i sell at ( guess who has ended up paying for that...lol..) as i will not pay for a new guitar he wants over 1k, ( those days are def over, as i
am not giving in anymore i need to seriously save) he is selling his old mdel trains ( guess who spent a fortune on getting them at auctions etc)

so going to put kettle on, and get him out of his flea pit, so we can put price labels on things....

He also wants to sell some of his cheaper guitars and amps on ebay...

I am hoping that the train stuff will sell well, as this might make him want to buy and sell model trains.. to earn some extra money in the future...

MUST try and get 'anything' on ebay...lol.. i have been saying this for weeks, but havent managed anything yet

DD, who's getting married shortly, got all her Playmobil and Sylvanian stuff out of the loft before Christmas and made about £300 on eBay.

    The snowballs look ace alfie!

Found a chook dead today. :(. Think it was a cat. Next weekend plan to get the little hutch up and put the leg bars in for some controlled copulation and then need to find a couple more sheds for geese, chicks, and dogs. I WILL go into next winter adaquately set up.
